Drama Digest

Sun and Thai are rival debt collectors. Sun’s father tells him to collect Athit’s debt as their financial condition is on the verge. While on his way, Sun meets Athit’s friends Talay and Nai and plans to get closer to him through them. Despite Athit telling Sun several times to leave for Bangkok, Sun refuses and stays with him.

The Feel-Good Part

The comic and romantic elements make the drama very engaging. Cinematography is one of the vivid plus points that’ll leave you with wandering eyes.

The Disappointing Factor

The plot is too tangled for just six episodes. There are so many couple stories that it often gets confusing. It leads to a faltering sense of incompletion at the end. Overall, boredom garbs the drama leaving the viewers confused most of the time and running after making sense of it. Amidst these, the comic use of the suicidal concept was a triggering move.

The acting was great, but with better writing and fewer weavings, it could have held an entertaining chance. Along with it, the scriptwriting, editing, and storytelling further distance it from being engrossing.

In-Depth Analysis

The setting for the drama was mesmerizing. It went in sync with the mood between Sun and Athit. But even though the side couple stories were delightful, it might have gained lovely momentum if the drama was a bit longer or was limited to a certain extent. It was too heavy for a short drama. Somewhere it held a rush to come to a closure and became tedious and nonsensical. It affected the rupture of the comic element. It felt like a storm of confusion that failed to carry the essence of the drama. Even though the storylines, plot, and cast showed potential, time was a crucial factor for this one. There was a lack of balance among the elements. One of the show-stealing points was when the fathers talked about love being love. It was a sweet and gratifying scene to watch.

Setting the drama in the heart of summer conveys a light and cheerful tone. The protagonists coming together as creditor-debtor but eventually showing feelings was a good theme that could have undergone better development if the drama was longer. But there was no space for character or situational development. Apart from these, the OSTs, BTS scenarios, intro, and outro were beautiful.

Star Power

The Boun-Prem duo was the highlight of the drama. Yet despite their marvelous acting skills, several potholes made it harder to evoke emotions and reflect their potential. Boun Noppanut Guntachai rightly showed the depth of void through his gazes, and there were such symbolic representations through the palette of sceneries. His experience as a professional actor glamorously comes out in his performance. Aside from him, Prem Warut Chawalitrujiwong as Sun struck a nice chord and made their moments show-worthy. Top Nathas Tunjaroen, Lee Long Shi, Pak Papungkorn Sakunsong, Earth Chitsanupong Soeksiri, and the rest of the supporting cast delivered splendid renderings of their characters.

Overall Opinion

It is a fun-filled drama but too confusing to watch. Yet if you’re a fan of the Boun-Prem duo, then check it out. The pleasing scenery and the acting won’t disappoint you.
