Drama Digest

“The Secret house” is a 2022 Korean drama. It is a revenge story that revolves around a lawyer named Woo Ji Hwan investigating the case of his missing mother. He follows the traces and walks into a secret that requires him to fight the world.

The Feel-Good Part

“The Secret House” has a decent plot, which is the sole reason for all the attention it got. The story blends well with all the passing episodes. Romance and fantasy are the elements of the show, along with suspense maintained throughout the show. The show has many characters but is well-balanced in the story.

The Disappointing Factor

However, for some viewers, it was extremely disappointing. The writing was poor, and many storylines were running altogether. Similar to any other revenge drama, the story is typical. The female lead character was quite annoying with her nosy nature, entering into the male lead’s business. The story is draggy with the stretched episodes from 120 to 124. According to some, the supporting characters were unnecessary. Even though it is of the romance genre, there is no proper romance, it is full of revenge plots. The ending was also unsatisfactory. The twists and turns of the plot left many fans with curiosity and mixed feelings.

In-Depth Analysis

Woo Ji Han is a lawyer that has a secret. He hides the secret in front of the misfortune of the family. He had his first love who is a surgeon named Baek Joo Hong. Meanwhile, Nam Tae Hyung is a narcissistic prosecutor who has a perfect life with money, skills, and family.

Star Power

The charming Soo Ha Joon who played Woo Ji Han brought the attention that the show received. He is overwhelmingly handsome with a good build. The female lead is poorly written, but Lee Young Eun playing the role made it better. The rest of the cast delivered a decent performance.

Overall Opinion

The show had a balance of both good and bad reviews. It will give you mixed feelings. Although it is a cliche story, it is worth the watch. But the series is extremely long and draggy and hence requires a significant investment.
