The Feel-Good Part

Some parts of the story take place in the Joseon era and give the viewers insights into the traditional music and culture of Korea. So, historical drama lovers are in for a treat. The breezy soundtrack and aesthetic cinematography does full justice to the concept. The period of adjustment that Park Yeon goes through is fun and entertaining to witness. The Disappointing Factor

The drama in some parts, fails to make use of all its resources as some of the characters remain unused and not as well fleshed out. The short format of the drama may leave you wanting more context, and make certain parts feel rushed due to its pacing.

In-Depth Analysis

Based on a webtoon, this adaptation tries to do its best to portray the story but still ends up with missed shots. The chemistry of the leads is sweet and builds up with time due to the help and support they give each other in reaching their dreams and passion for music. A few supporting characters are present that have their fates intertwined with the leads. Their actions help propel the plot points further. The romance and exploration of fate and destiny are central to the drama. However, it does have specific gaps in the storytelling.

Even if you have read the webtoon, you may enjoy the adaptation as it does depart from the webtoon’s storyline in some instances, choosing which aspects to play up or focus on. With more episodes, the drama may have been able to create a fully immersive experience. Nonetheless, it is a pretty good watch and has a heart-warming romance central to the story. It keeps the viewer engaged with its continual switch between the past and present of the various characters.

Star Power

K-pop fans may look forward to the performance of Chani from the group SF9, who portrays the male lead. In addition to this, Shin Yoon Jung plays the female lead and the supporting casts have also given good performances.
