Drama Digest

The drama revolves around two hotel tycoons, who back in their grandparent’s generations were family friends, but now they are sworn, enemies. They are competing against each other to acquire the top position of their industry. Parin is the illegitimate son of Sirimantra’s son-in-law. His mother is Chatchai’s mistress, but he abandoned her in America. As a result, during his growing years, Parin knew nothing about his father, and being part of the business-oriented hatred was something he could never comprehend. On the other hand, Paramita is the only daughter of Paramin and the heiress of The Emperor. The Emperor is a renowned Emporium real estate company. Something terrible happens with Paramita, after which she goes abroad for her future studies. However, when she returns, she brings along a pair of twins who she claims are her cousins whom her aunt has adopted. Surprisingly, fate once again brings her face to face with the man who was the reason behind her miseries. On meeting him, she finds out that he is the son of her father’s business rival. Thus, to seek revenge, she decides to help her father. Now, Paramita and Parin side on the opposite side as not just opponents but also as enemies.

The Feel-Good Part

It is the kind of drama which you can’t skip. It’s engaging, and no one can deny that. Many people will love it, while many might end up hating it, yet the point remains that either way, people will watch it. The slightly irksome storyline will in turn end up entertaining you way more than you would expect. The drama has a glimpse of all the tropes that we get to witness in Thai lakorn, be it the slap-kiss trope, hidden pregnancy, prolonged misunderstandings, kidnapping, and everything else – you get it all. Even if you are someone who is watching to find out its fault, you might obliviously end up seeking pleasure. Regardless of everything and anything, the dramatic plot is fun.

The Disappointing Factor

The plot has a lot of disturbing elements. For instance, the main character’s first encounter itself is distressing. The male lead is deceived into thinking that the female lead is a prostitute. Therefore; he pays to spend a night with her. Furthermore; he sleeps with her even when he is aware of the fact that she is drunk and not in her senses. Whereas, the truth was that the female lead was drugged and hence, she is ignorant of what and how everything happened. Due to this traumatizing experience, she is highly troubled. Hence, this makes it difficult to like the male lead initially. But that doesn’t mean you will simply sympathize with the female lead and love her. She, too, later on, tries to trick the male lead and lie to him for her benefit.

In-Depth Analysis

The show is undoubtedly quite entertaining. There might be many uncomfortable angles in the story, but without them, the story wouldn’t have been the way it was. Thus, to make it as engaging as it is, even the faults were needed. You will probably end up willingly or unwilling, loving every aspect of the story. At many points, you might hate the characters, but at others, you will even love them. There is a beautiful balance between the characters. The situation is never such that one character is shown to be a saint, always correct and morally right, while the other is showcased as a villain. The characters are rather humane. They make mistakes and have flaws, but in the end, they realize it and apologize.

Star Power

‘Mook Mookda Narinrak’ plays the role of Paramita Issaret or Mitra. Even though she doesn’t have a lot of experience and is fairly new, still her work is beyond expectations. Her innocent face and gentle dialogue delivery make her perfect for the role of the sweet and humble female lead. ‘Kem Hussawee Pakrapngpisan’ has this baffling charisma to himself that will leave you amazed. His chemistry with Mitra or even with the kids is heartwarming. Talking about kids, ‘Matteo Pakin Gaspari’ and ‘Flora Massaro’ are bound to steal your heart.

Overall Opinion

The show might start on the wrong foot, but if it hadn’t, then the story would have never been as entertaining and somewhat unique as it is now. Hate it, love it, but it is the kind of show you can’t miss. The story’s real fun will compel you to overlook all the other faults and loopholes of the story.
