Super Crooks is an American-Japanese anime. Super Crooks is a series based on the Novel named the same, written by Mark Millar and Leinil Yu. It is a classic English heist series. Johnny Bolt, the main character, assembles all supervillains for the last mission before retiring.
The Feel-Good Part
The characters are different from each other, yet when they become a team, their teamwork is incredible to watch. The friendship and understanding between them is just a treat to watch.
The Disappointing Factor
The one linear in the whole series seems to have been forced. It was unnecessary in many places. The series indeed tried to give a fantastic dark plot but wasn’t that successful.
In-Depth Analysis
Johnny Bolts’ mission is to rob a private casino belonging to Christopher Matts. Christopher Matts is the most powerful and the most dangerous villain in the world.
Johnny Bolt has the superpower of controlling electricity with his mind. At first, when he discovers his powers, he misuses them many times and brags about them. But as time passes by, Johnny decides to align his power and use it for a good cause. Johnny forms a team that includes his girlfriend Kasey, Carmine, a retired villain, the phantom a burglar, TK McCabe with telekinesis powers. Forecast as his name suggests has the superpower to control the weather, Roddy and Sammy, who are wrestlers, and also Gladiator. They all come together to fight against Christopher, who is also known as The Bastard. There are many highs and lows to their mission plot, which is fascinating to watch.
Star Power
The voiceovers are great. The soundtracks also play a significant role throughout the series. The characters have been designed perfectly.
Overall Opinion
Super Crooks is the best supervillain anime of 2021. The bad guy vibes throughout the series are fantastic. The team of villains with good intentions is quite contradictory, but fun to watch. The series has some great actions and dialogue delivery.
