What about nightmares that become true? To learn more about the story and riddles, see the drama The Sleepless Princess.

The Feel-Good Part

The drama is in a lovely historical Wuxia setting. The plot focuses on death riddles and has a good sense of tension. The plotline and twists are well-written, unusual, and unexpected. The show fills with lighthearted romance. The chemistry between the two leads is genuine and endearing. The play contains a decent blend of emotions, which keeps it fascinating.

The Disappointing Factor

The play has a strange conclusion. The final episode has a tragic conclusion. However, the special episode has a pleasant ending. Even though it depicts affection between the two characters, there are more misunderstandings and concerns in the relationship, where the frustrations begin. Until the finale, the leads never have a fulfilling romantic relationship. There were some ups and downs in the plot.

In-Depth Analysis

The drama has a large fan base because of its star cast, which has appeared in other successful dramas such as Unforgettable Love and Lovers under the Full Moon. The historical environment is both beautiful and colorful. The costumes and other aspects of the performance were rather enjoyable. The plot is engaging but not overly complicated. It moves the plotline along at a reasonable speed. The plot’s fantasy aspect is the princess’s ability to glimpse the future in her dreams, but she must pay the price if she tries to change it. This power, however, begins as a curse for her. The drama contains suspense, romance, and comedic scenes to keep the audience entertained. However, in comparison to other Chinese series, the drama lasts longer.

Star Power

The drama’s star cast is well-known and well-liked. The primary characters are Zheng Ye Cheng (Xue Yao) and Hu Yi Xuan (Xu Chu Yue). They both have cute on-screen chemistry as a couple in love. They performed an incredible job with the whole concept and idea. Huang Can Can (Su Nan Nan), Lin Xin Yi (Tao Yao), James Yang (Xu Xing Chen), and David Chou round out the supporting cast ( Luo Ji).

Overall Opinion

The drama features a compelling plot that includes romance, friendship, drama, suspense, and comedy. There is a good blend of emotions in the story. On the other hand, misunderstandings can be aggravating in the long run. The sleepless princess has its highs and lows and is worth watching at least once.
