Drama digest

Kaginado is a collection of comedy shorts that mixes several Key serious works. It is a spoof comedy series at its heart. It brings together characters from six different series, including Kanon, Air, Planetarian, Clannad, Little Busters, and Rewrite. It places them in the same institution while making several references to the characters’ personalities and progress.

The feel-good part

The character interactions are insane, and listening to the beautiful music from these stories was also incredible. Being able to experience the chemistry of Key’s characters and their environment makes this anime a genuine master class.

The disappointing factor

The fact that the episodes are a little short and, as a result, certain characters’ lines are missing is a disappointment. It’s the Shibi art style, which isn’t very impressive but enough for the purpose.

It is not an anime for everyone. Only Key’s fans will understand the plot better.

In-depth analysis

The plot of this anime is relatively straightforward. It pools key characters together.

As a result, the anime will highlight all of the moments and similarities that all characters have in their unique storylines while comically contrasting their various reactions/behaviors to the scenario.

Star power

This anime has a tremendous cast with robust interactions and courting dynamics.

Overall opinion

Finally, this anime serves as a memorial to all those who have followed Key’s visual novel (or anime) series since its inception.

Kaginado, on the other hand, is difficult to suggest since it takes prior understanding. If you’re a Key fan who wants to see these characters in a lighter light, you’ll appreciate it.

The anime is suggested for those who are intrigued by the plot’s characters and want to learn more about why and how they are significant in their stories.
