Drama Digest –

Miyama Juichi quits wrestling of his injury and his age but is forced to join wrestling again due to his family condition. Once groomed by his father, Miyama Jusaburo, an acclaimed actor and a “Living National Treasure” to be his successor. The young Juichi rebelled and left home, cutting ties with his family. Now his father miraculously survived a critical illness and is determined to marry off his young caregiver, leaving all his money to her. Juichi now wants to join wrestling again to know more about the caregiver and to stop his father.

The Feel-Good Part –

The screenwriter Kudo san quoted a story about the inheritance issues in traditional Japanese families, and this story fits his concern. This light-hearted and comedic story talks about the big issue of inheriting art by generation in Japan. Each character has a different style and charisma, and it is fun and exciting to see how they react to different situations. The unsaid values made for the descendants of a family because of some traditional rules of the society is well explored in the series.

The Disappointing Factor –

This story speaks of complicated emotions between various characters which can become overwhelming and challenging. The family issues are questioned extensively with how parents are always right with their actions, which can work opposite to the show’s audience. The hardships they face are shown but never questioned. The negative aspects of showing traditional craft-related families of Japan are questioned up to their deepest beliefs, which can be atrocious for some sections of viewers.

In-Depth Analysis –

This story has been an amazing medium of re-evaluating people’s lives when they watch this series. The scenes were written to speak of daily life struggles and beautiful moments. It talks about sacrifice, promises made to change, taking up new challenges and just how daily life works. The parents losing their life freedoms and having a huge responsibility of caring for children is also shown. The father taking care of his son but also learning from him is lovely to watch.

Star Power –

The characters are extraordinary but they all act ordinally. Each of them feels authentic to the core, which is unique to see. Miyama Juichi is lovely, cute, annoying and dumb at the same time. Mai is the most sensitive, ignored and dependable character found in every household. Every character is beautifully crafted and very intricately made. Miyami Juichi’s father is a character not found on such dramas as such. He is funny, serious, motivated and determined to change his son’s habits but also makes himself aware of the role he doesn’t often play, of him being himself.

Overall Opinion –

A beautiful story should be seen to understand it to the core. A must watch!
