Drama Digest:
The drama is based on a man named Hemingway and three high school girls who were walking along the seashore one day. While walking, the girls noticed a naked man was lying on the seashore. They filmed the man using their smartphones, and the man said ‘Winner Take Nothing’ before losing unconsciousness.
The girls then took the man to the hospital, and they came to know that he was suffering from memory loss. The man was also hurt due to excessive swimming. Due to his words, he was given the name of Hemingway because ‘Winner Take Nothing’ is a short story collection by Ernest Hemingway.
Hemingway got familiar with the three girls and started writing down some notes or drawing to recover his memories. In the meantime, a girl was kidnapped, and when she was found, the place was similar to the scene drawn by Hemingway. Due to this reason he got recognition. Will Hemingway recover his memories? The drama has all the elements that can hook the viewers to watch this drama. This drama has paranormal activities, murder mystery, religious issues, politics, and a bit of romance.
The mystery condenses as the story progresses. The investigation part in this drama is very intriguing. The drama also tried to concentrate on social issues which are worth appreciation.
In the first few episodes, the drama pace is on the spot. This makes viewers understand the plot easily.
The OSTs here are not like rom-com drama. But the soundtrack suits well with the plot. It helps to create an eerie feeling in the scenes that will make your hair stand.
Star Power:
Saitoh Takumi is exceptional in his role as Hemingway. He is the main attraction of this drama, and he is successful in portraying such a shaded character.
The Disappointing Factor:
Though this has all the elements of a good thriller but the director failed to cook it well. Hence the drama is not that enjoyable to viewers. To present the drama with so many issues in a single drama within a short amount time is a wrong choice. After some episodes, the drama becomes boring.
