Onna Tomodachi is ( 女ともだち) is a Japanese-origin drama series that hit the theater screens from the 11th of April, 2020, to the 30th of May, 2020. This creative production remains finished under the direction of Kuma Shinji and written for the screen by Nami Kikkawa and Kyoko Inukai. The story revolves around Setsu and Chisato, who both go through a love crisis in their lives. The running time stretches over thirty minutes, with an impressive total of twelve episodes.

The Feel-Good Part

One instantly gets sucked into the series with its engaging plot. The melodrama makes the viewers jerk their tears several times throughout the storyline. One cannot ignore the incredible acting performed on the part of the stars. Moreover, the suspense regarding the relationship status of the lead characters becomes intriguing to follow.

The Disappointing Factor

Fans have expressed their concerns over the several repetitions spread throughout the series. Although the lyrics of the official soundtrack added in the series are decent to follow, the melody fails to set the mood for the viewers. One gets bored after the second half of the Onna Tomodachi series.

In-Depth Analysis

The story opens with the two people, Setsu and Chisato, who have been glued to the hip since their high school years. Setsu opens up about her recent affair with a married man and how his wife found out about the same. She expresses her deep worries about wanting to end the relationship because of its several complications. But her lover stops her from doing that, promising to stay with her instead of his wife. Although Chisato understands her situation, she firmly puts her point of view too. She believes her husband to be cheating on her too. But unable to confront him, she does not have a single clue regarding the next step.
