The staff at Camphor News are insufficient and this retort to creating stories that are mostly consisted of rearranged news pieces and comments plagiarized from other news sites. Due to the low amount of page views received by Camphor News, this media site is declared as unprofitable.
The Feel-Good Part
The variety in characters and the concept of mystery are shown in a very engaging manner. Seko Ririko does not display much emotional expression, yet it does not mean she is emotionless. She is not capable of accepting and expressing her own emotions. Despite her aversion to social interaction, she has a tremendous desire to learn about people around her and the world. This drama also shows characters with conflicting mindsets about their jobs. For example, Ichimoto Makoto, who thinks that writing gossip would not benefit the world, still work for Camphor NEWS. The humorous side of characters balances the emotions in the series for it to not become boring.
The Disappointing Factor
It focuses on a couple of common political / gossip issues. The Female Lead might be a little hard to empathize wit in the beginning, and feels somewhat uneasy throughout the story. Although, making the Female Lead awkward might be so that more people could feel relatable to her. The chemistry is a bit lacking in the main cast.

Through portraying the work, life, & love of the editorial staff members of a news website for a major publishing company, this workplace entertainment depicts social relationships in the world today. This drama focuses on the harsh reality of the media industry, which has now changed its motive from serving the public to becoming a profit-driven organization. This drama also focuses on a few political issues that are in the general public’s interest and the difficulties a journalist has to face while publishing a piece of news that is beneficial for the world
Star Power
The performance given by all the characters is commendable. The humor added by the secondary characters like Nomaguchi Toru as Kabatani Seiji gave a refreshing touch to all the seriousness in the drama. The performance of Ichimoto Makoto, played by Ishii Anna, portrayed the grey areas of the media house very well.
Overall Opinion
This is a drama suitable for people with an interest in how the news they are consuming, how and from where is it coming. A new storytelling about the current situation with the relationships between people and their jobs. The drama will surely be an engaging one for mystery lovers. Even though Ririko lacks empathy and is can not read the environment, she takes her assigned duty to save Camphor NEWS very seriously and is willing to go to any length to increase pageviews. Employees at Camphor NEWS gradually grow to adore Ririko after being struck by her work style and witnessing her unexpectedly awkward and naive side.
