The drama is based on a novel that goes with the same “Enmadou Sara No Suiri Kitan” by Kanata Kimoto. Enmadou Sara No Suiri Kitan also known as “The Mysterious Collection of Enmadou Sara ” is a supernatural drama about a girl named Enma Sara. She is a judge of the world. Well, do not mistake her for some common usual judge of the law and order. This Japanese drama brings to you the judge of people’s lives. She is supposed to make a judgment about the deeds of people and it is up to her to decide whether to send the deed to heaven or hell.
The Feel-Good Part
The plot of this Japanese drama is indeed very unique and the writers did a great job coming up with such an extraordinary storyline. It is certainly different from all other fictional dramas. It connects us with life and the afterlife. In the effort to resurrect the victims in the drama, not only learn about the truths of their incidents, but they also found out that they did not live hard when they were alive. The best time to change your life is when you find the readiness and will to live it.
The Disappointing Part
With such a unique approach to the supernatural genre, it could have been even more interesting if there were some turn of events to maintain the viewers’ interest. Also, the viewers couldn’t get a handful of the drama since it has only eight episodes.
In-Depth Analysis
Enma Sara is the daughter of King Enma. She is a judge who makes judgment after a person dies, looking at their deeds if they should be sent to heaven or hell. Those who come to her are the lifeless or dead ones who someone has killed. These lifeless people aren’t satisfied with their death and want to come back to life as they still have some thoughts left in their world. Sara approaches those who want to revive and asks them, “Then, do you want to play a game? If you can guess by yourself and guess the criminal, I will bring you back to life.” To revive, the dead desperately remember the situation before they died and make inferences, but they ponder not only the truth of the case but also their way of life in their lifetime. And I will change my life by deciding to live as hard as I can.
Star Power
The female lead that plays the character of Enma Sara is Ayami Nakaji, who is the main face of the drama. She completely justifies the role with her impeccable acting skills. The outfit and makeup she pulls out give a complete vibe of a fictional judge character.
Overall Opinion
This drama is a fun ride to an afterlife. With the mysterious elements and strong woman character, it gives what it promises.
