Drama Digest

Kurachi was surprised to see an Oiran in his house. Shunsuke’s uncle bought an Oiran who introduced herself as Senka. Shunsuke’s family is amused to keep Senka at their home. However, Shunsuke is afraid that Senka is a fraudster. Later, Shunsuke found that she is the real Oiran from the Edo period. After talking to her, she said that she didn’t t know how to reimburse Edo period, and she decides to stay in the present.

The Feel-Good Part

The implausible plot of time-travel that has a charm. The story is simple but meaningful. The storyline is good and feels realistic. The dialogues are heart-warming and meaningful. The storyline has been presented very. From the plot to its execution, everything felt perfect.

 The Disappointing Factor

The story is too simple. The writer could have made it attractive by making it a combination of modern and historic time theatre. The storyline and presentation could have been more pleasing. Many components of the drama are sloppy.

In-Depth Analysis

It is a time travel drama with not much happening plot. It is all about an Edo- era courtesan who has time travelled and now is struggling to go back. After finding no way to return, she finally decides to stay in the present modern time. She has started to work in a cafe. Senka gets peoples attention due to her appearance and behaviour. Whereas Shunsuke tries to find out about Senka, and he git to know that she is from the Edo period. He learns that Senka is a legendary Oiran of the Edo period. Overall, it is an excellent drama with a good storyline and decent twists. This drama has some solid comedy features. The story had focused on time travelled elements. The relationship between the characters was well developed and was adorable. The ending with the conclusion of the mystery about time travel was not well organised. The comedy parts were focused well and were well managed. The first episode was excellent. The female lead was the perfect representation of  Edo. The CEOs character was amazing; all the credit goes to Maeda Goki. In the second half, f the focus shifted from an Edo teaching precious life lessons to the stale, unbearable love triangle. It was disappointing to see how the focus shifted from the male lead. The ending was an example of lazy writing.

 Star Power

The female lead has a strong personality. The supporting cast has also performed excellently. The characters are equally funny and likeable. The character development was also good.

Overall Opinion

It is a heart-warming comedy that takes place in Tokyo. It is not, particularly a love story that transcends the ages.
