Drama Digest
The story is about a woman who is looking for life stability and coping with problems. Sick of her husband’s betrayal, she decides to start a new life, but then something happens that changes her life and everyone around her.
In the midst of the murder, Li Xiao Nan tries to find her footing in life back. The drama follows the life of a strong woman who is determined to get her life back on track.
The Feel-Good Part
The drama is well thought out and well written. The execution is something mind-blowing. The storyline is intriguing.
The best part is that the romance part is minimal. As the show is mainly a murder mystery, it didn’t require any unnecessary romance part in it. The show focuses on its premises and keeps that up till the end.
The Disappointing Factor
Despite being a good story with an amazing plot, it fails in the suspense part. Toward the end, it is easy to figure out who the criminal is and what the mystery is.
Also, the final two episodes were absolutely unnecessary. They just felt like an exaggeration of a story whose ending is already over. The show works just fine without those two episodes.
In-Depth Analysis
The Crack of Dawn is a murder mystery with each and every character as a solid suspect. The show keeps you on your toes in the starting few episodes, but as it goes on, it loses its shine, and it is way too much easy to figure out who the real criminal is and how they committed it and why they did what they did.
The main story focuses on Li Xiao Nan, a struggling woman trying to find her footing in life. The show also talks about some very crucial problems like abuse and severe mental health issues, which really need to come to the forefront so that people know about them and not just consider them a myth.
Star Power
The star cast is fantastic, and in the beginning, each one of them was very convincing in suspecting themselves of murders. Most of the characters are flawed and morally grey. Even though the main character is Li Xiao Nan, played by Ma Si Chun, who did an amazing job, the Show is highly character-driven, and everyone was outstanding.
Overall Opinion
The show is worth watching. There are many things in the show which are really good and you need to give it a try.
