Drama Digest

Ke Ying, a gifted economics educator, is compelled to assist the sociopath Feng Xiao Sheng in gaining control over his firm. Street-smart police informant Xiao Wu exploits his position as Xiao Sheng’s right-hand man to gather evidence when he learns that Feng’s company is laundering money into international bank accounts. He works with Ke Ying to take down the criminal enterprise.

The Feel-Good Part

It’s a marvel of acting. The three leaders, in particular, execute everything flawlessly. The audience can notice the layers in their acts since they are all keeping secrets from one another.

The Disappointing Factor

The drama’s main problem is that numerous sequences had to be removed for it to be broadcast-approved. As a result, several of the drama’s scenes don’t feel seamless. Even though there are missing scenes, it won’t throw you off. You will witness brilliant individuals make expensive errors. Additionally, you will notice good and bad people acting in contradictory ways. You can never be entirely sure of what will happen next because of this. There are certainly agitated moments since the stakes are so high.

In-Depth Analysis

Ke Ying is traveling on this abandoned road to see her boyfriend when she encounters Shen Shi Jie’s gang. Shen Shi Jie is a wanted criminal and a cold-blooded killer. She is nearly raped while her automobile is hijacked. Fortunately, she is able to flee and ends up being the only eyewitness to his whereabouts. As soon as further evidence becomes available, the police are able to focus on him. They pursue him till he falls off a cliff and perishes. Although the recovered body cannot be identified, Shen Shi Jie must be it because so many police officers saw the incident.

After seven months, Ke Ying’s life is ordinary. Her family is delighted when her boyfriend pops the question. However, she runs into a man with the same eyes as Shen Shi Jie at the university where she works.

The man that resembles Shen Shi Jie is Feng Xiao Sheng. He is an effective CEO. When Ke Ying affirms that Feng Xiao Sheng is Shen Shi Jie, no one believes her. She gradually begins to fear everything. She begins to think she has paranoia as well.

Star Power

Cai Wen Jing as Ke Ying, Liu Kai as Xiao Wu, and Peng Guan Ying as Feng Xiaosheng / Shen Shijie all did a fantastic  job in portraying their characters  and conveying the emotions beautifully right from the moment the drama started and ended.

Overall Opinion

The plot moves quickly and is condensed. Every character and storyline is closely connected to the main story, even though it might not be entirely clear in the first few episodes. The characters are also intelligent people with apparent motivations.
