Drama Digest

Wu Shiyi (Wang Li Kun), a former Taekwondo competitor, is in desperate need of money. She works for the prestigious Eagle Security firm, but she is consistently passed over for better positions in favor of her colleagues. Her employer warns her that until she improves, she may be fired. She is given what appears to be a straightforward courier job one day. When the President of Zhi Rong, the business from which she must pick up the paperwork, is kidnapped by an enraged, knife-wielding former acquaintance, she puts her training to good use – and dispatches the assailant.

The Feel-Good Part

Aside from the casting, the production is fantastic. The atmosphere is described for the viewers without the use of overbearing background music or sound effects. Most of it is based on the acting. Many people may appreciate how the drama progressed naturally until the end. The series finales are frequently full of narrative twists to explain everything in 45 minutes.

The Disappointing Factor

The narration is very slow and focuses on unimportant details. Office issues, business rivalries, thriller, suspense, action, and far too few romance moments are all included in the plot.

In-Depth Analysis

A love story about a female bodyguard and former martial artist who falls in love with her wealthy, handsome, but obstinate client. Wu Shiyi saves Hou Zhirong from a hostage scenario while on a mission to deliver critical documents. After receiving mysterious death threats, Hou Zhirong becomes concerned for his son Hou Jue’s safety and hires security. Wu Shiyi is chosen as Hou Jue’s bodyguard as he recalls her serenity amid a crisis when she saved him. Hou Jue rejects the concept of a female bodyguard intruding into his life right away. He deliberately makes things tough for Wu Shiyi, but she isn’t the sort to give up lightly.

Star Power

Johnny Huang feels at ease in his role as a misbehaving wealthy bachelor. One of the most amusing aspects of the series is his way-too-long monologues. Some viewers will love how the FL character is kept cool and strong in this play.

Overall Opinion

This drama is all you might want in a love story: melodic, hilarious, and romantic. Of course, they are not in a relationship at this point (18 episodes), but their chemistry as colleagues is excellent.
