Drama Digest

It follows the story of a gaming industry employee who is taken back in time via a video game and transforms into an ugly palace maid. She meets the Emperor there and begins a romantic relationship with him that is both amusing and comedic.

The Feel-Good Part

The female protagonist works for a virtual reality gaming firm. She is a regular person who has a crush on her employer. Her supervisor, on the other hand, is not fond of her. She is the first person to try out this game about falling in love with an emperor that has been produced. She is an unattractive maid on the inside. She also selected the most tough setting, as a result of which she experiences numerous challenges. Her character is endearing, pleasant, and odd. She specialises in one thing: cooking. She rises through the ranks from maid to palace chef. She attempts to locate the button that will allow her to save her progress in the game, and it is here that she meets the male protagonist.

The Disappointing Factor

The only difficulty is that the plot makes no attempt to reconcile Li Xia’s unexpected appearance and disappearance. The Emperor and the Generals (and everyone around them) have many unanswered issues about Li Xia, but they are not properly conveyed to them, and they simply accept Li Xia as if she is normal like them. Suppose these are just video game characters who don’t need to understand anything.

In-Depth Analysis

Li Xia is a kind and caring employee at a game firm who has a thing for her boss, Xiao Ning. She is the type of person that expresses her love for others through food and care, thus she is constantly looking after the boss and the workers. When the company conducts an initial test of its virtual otome game, Li Xia is picked to participate, which delights her because she believes she is receiving particular attention from Xiao Ning until she overhears him refer to her as a “average girl” who falls within the game’s target demographic. In essence, he claims that she is so average that she could not possibly be his boss’s girlfriend. In essence, he is untrustworthy of her. Li Xia, heartbroken and crushed, yet becomes the game’s first test subject and, in a moment of low self-esteem, chooses the game’s most difficult setting and begins as an ugly maid. When she tries to leave, she quickly discovers that the game’s bugs have stopped her from doing so. She encounters a eunuch who is actually the Emperor in disguise while trying to find the exit menu, and thus begins a romantic love tale with him.

Star Power

The Emperor is the masculine protagonist. He is an extremely intelligent, compassionate, and loving individual. The exchanges between the female and male characters are amusing, and their blossoming romance is sweet and entertaining. They have a fantastic chemistry. For you kissing aficionados out there, there are a lot of kissing sequences. The plot moved along smoothly and eventually returned to reality. It completes the circle. If you enjoy the “reality to game” drama type, this is the drama for you.

Overall Opinion

Really enjoyed this drama, despite my initial reservations after a few episodes. And also liked how the ML adored the FL even when she was a male, which makes it much the sweeter because he adored her spirit and heart and was prepared to have her in whatever shape. One of the things that may irritate you about this drama is that it is not genuine and is only a video game. In principle, he’s just a video game character, which means she either has to stay in the game forever or depart at some point. However, Definitely would recommend this drama, and really believe it is a good drama to watch if you don’t have anything else to watch.
