Drama Digest
Wan Yuan (Wanyan Luorong) is regarded as the type of person who possesses three qualities: high intelligence, high visual aptitude, and high wealth. He is a disgruntled psychiatrist who took on the former corporate case in order to be paid and a former executive who has a sudden belief that he is the emperor. It is unfortunate that the young bachelor, who is now claiming to be Jianwen, Emperor of the Ming Dynasty, has developed mental illness following an understandable vehicle accident. Since then, Zhu Xuanwen has constructed a private mansion outside the city and has lost interest in managing his own business on a daily basis. Intern Luo Kaihuai (Zhuang Dafei) is pursuing a career as a psychiatrist. She is one of those people who excel at their work but fails miserably at everything else. She is forced to become doctor of Zhu Xuanwen due to her dire need for money to feed her family. She tries to enter his palace to cure him, but he drives her away.
The Feel-Good Part
The chemistry of the main couple is mind-blowing. It is like they are a perfect match for each other, which makes the whole story very enjoyable to watch. The songs made for this drama also contribute greatly to adding value to the drama as a whole, even though there is not much to the story.
The Disappointing Factor
The drama follows the typical romantic comedy-drama troupe, and as a result, it falls short of being a good drama in this genre. It could have strayed away from such typical scenes and predictable plots, which might have lured viewers.
In-Depth Analysis
Zhu Xuan Wen is a handsome, intelligent, and incredibly wealthy man who has nothing. He is the kind of man that men hope they can be and the kind of man that women dream about. However, Xuan Wen is not who he seems to be. He was in a vehicle accident when he was young and had a bizarre neurosis that got worse over time. Xuan Wen is only interested in the flourishing of his fictitious kingdom since he thinks he is the Emperor Jianwen of the Ming Dynasty. He has delegated his day-to-day duties, including the administration of his firm, to others in favor of constructing a castle from which to run his prospering imaginary empire. The people who know him best concur that they must seek expert assistance on his behalf. Out of an urgent need for money, a mental health specialist named Kai Huai decides to take on this case of Xuan, who has a peculiar condition. Kai Huai integrates into the world of emperor as a member of his harem. She now needs to figure out how to assist Xuan Wen, who keeps attempting to push her away and makes her work all but difficult. Kai Huai, who is often at odds with the would-be emperor, needs to find a method to assist Xuan Wen in running his prosperous made-up empire.

The stars do an amazing job of showcasing their skills and making the most of their characters which adds value to the whole series.

This series should only be watched if you enjoy watching dramas of this genre; otherwise, you should avoid it.
