Drama Digest
Li Chu Yao loses her brother, Chu Chen, in an accident. Li Luo Shu, the orphan who resides across the boulevard, takes Chu Chen’s place to appease his unstable mother. As time passes, Luo Shu develops feelings for his sister. But he keeps them hidden after Chu Yao falls in love and get engaged to Han Zi Mo. Unfortunately, he runs after loan sharks knock at his door. Chu Yao is left with a debt. Luo Shu is wounded while protecting her. Chu Yao realizes whom she loves. They wanted to spend their lives together but were separated by reality.
The Feel-Good Part
The storyline is excellent. The story was made interesting when the make lead puts his life on hold to help his friend’s family. The protagonists evolve in a delightful, manner. Some aspects never seem as they are, which made this drama more interesting.
The Disappointing Factor
The nature of the characters was annoying at times. The female lead follows her heart after certain circumstances. The drama was unsatisfying in many aspects.
In-Depth Analysis
This is a kind of slow-burn drama. The story started with a bang. Things happening to the protagonists doesn’t make this drama climatic and enjoyable. It felt short of certain things as the story develops. The brother-sister bond could have been better. There was no chemistry between the leads. They put each other first. There were a lot of hold-on moments. Luo Shu is an intelligent guy who dropped out of college and had a business idea. The writer has built it up adequately that we anticipated to achieve them. They never tried to get help for the mom. They let her a life of ignorance. The mom’s character was the most fragile as she needed to be safeguarded in a bubble. The male and female lead are not blood-related siblings. Luo Shu went through an individuality crisis. He didn’t have the responsibility to take good care of the family. He wasn’t even given an option to leave. He was pulled back to appease the mother. Zhi Mo became the bad guy. The young man’s perseverance was enjoyable. He was thrown obstacles one after another, blocking his professional success. The writers could have closed all the loopholes and tried everything to make it promising.
Star Power
Ji Yan Xin gave her insight and imaginative substances for her comic plot. The actors strengthened the series from the supporting to the main leads. The roles were portrayed amazingly.
Overall View
It is a terrific drama. It is an excellent romantic drama to go ahead with. This is a decent drama to watch once.
