Drama Digest

After falling in love with a programmer Jiang Yi Cheng. Lu Li enrolled in the school he used to study and took computer programming. He has set Yi Cheng as his role model. She accomplishes good grades in school. After completing her graduation, she did not expect that Yi Cheng’s company did not recruit female employees. Lu Li decides to conceal as a man to arrive the company. But she faced difficulty in fulfilling Yi Cheng’s demand and hiding her identity. Somehow, she managed to get hold of an opportunity and agrees with Yi Cheng. Two of them became contract couples and stayed together for a year. But then Yi Cheng starts to fall for Lu Li.

The Feel-Good Part

The production and music was a good part of this show. The understanding level of the story was quite impressive. The drama manages to show the emotions beautifully.

The Disappointing Factor

At some points, the male leads behaviour is annoying and dislikeable. Sometimes their actions also have no sense. The characters could have been written in a better way.

In-Depth Analysis

Lu Li is an innovative and talented programmer but not different from other female leads in C-dramas. She lacks self-confidence. She is head over heels for the male lead in this drama. Yi Cheng is unbearable at times. He is childish, stubborn and arrogant. Yi Ming is a stereotype with some good qualities. This drama didn’t create a love triangle with Yi Ming. Yi Ming is a close friend of Lu Li. On the other hand, Zi Tong is clingy. The story is simple, and easy to along with. The second lead couple was adorable and it was good to see how their relationship progressed. Interestingly, the second couple is the male lead’s sister and best friend. The make lead’s sister was not intimidating. It was good to see how the third couple expressed their feelings freely.  The story revolves around Lu Li to entering Yi cheng’s programming company. When Yi Cheng’s mother forces him to marry, he ends up marrying Lu Li. A rivalry situation occurs when Yi Cheng’s ex-girlfriend comes back into his life. The whole drama was pleasant but the ending was touching. The female lead is recruited to be a programmer for a team that is barely shown properly programming. The interesting thing is the love story between the second leads. This drama is an adaptation from the manhua “No Programmer can be so cute” by Tianyi Icartoon. The drama had a happy ending for all the couples including the supporting characters. But there were lot of misunderstanding and miscommunication. The leads got separated due to some misunderstanding. It may be because the writer focused on making the male lead arrogant and weak. The idea of cross dressing was unique but it could have been done in a better way.

Star Power

The actors did a great job performing their roles. The male lead’s acting is applauded; he is a perfect fit for his role. The characters were lively and energetic.

Overall View

I didn’t find this story interesting or engaging. It was simple, but the flow was not my cup of tea. If you are looking for a comedy show with a bit of romance, then this can be the one.
