“Cat Boyfriend” is a short and sweet story of a cat who can transform into a human. Jiang Xiao Kui is from the kingdom of cats. He is pampered by his owner, Jiang Qing. His peaceful life gets interrupted when Jiang Qing’s younger brother, who is allergic to cats, visits them.
The Feel-Good Part
This story is very sweet and entertaining. They show us a comic version of the characters at times which makes this series very funny.
The Disappointing Factor
The disappointing part is that it is too short, even though it’s adorable. This series can be completed in the blink of an eye. One scene shifts to another without a good flow of the script, making it confusing.
In-Depth Analysis
Jiang Qing loves her cat very much to the point that she kept him even though her brother is allergic to cats. Xiao Kui hates Jiang Xia at first, but they get close after Jiang Xia discovers Xiao Kui’s identity. This is a drama that revolves around the cat and its owner’s brother. They both test who Jiang Qing likes better. It is a great series that portrays various emotions. It has a total of eight episodes and also has behind-the-scenes. It is short and adorable, but it has various flaws. The story is touching and entertaining. This is a BL (boy love), but it doesn’t revolve around romance. It is about family.
Star Power
Jing Yan Jun and Lei Hao Xiang did an excellent job portraying their characters. Overall acting is average.
