Global K-pop sensation BTS has always been in the news, be it for their record-breaking comebacks or chart-topper singles. South Korean Boy group BTS stands for Bangtan Sonyeondan, which in English, translates to Bulletproof Boy Scouts. The group comprises of seven members,- Jin, RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, And Jungkook. BTS made their debut in 2013 with their single album 2 Cool 4 Skool, and have made a huge fan following since then. They have given numerous hit albums and singles since their debut and have been awarded various awards and accolades. 1. Rm Learned English By Watching The Tv Show Friends

Kim Namjoon, better known by his stage name RM, is the leader of the group. He is a rapper, songwriter, and producer. He was one of the first members to join Bighit Entertainment. During their starting years, the group members were not fluent in English. Back then, RM was in charge of translating things to the other members. When asked about his fluency in English, he said he learned English from the sitcom FRIENDS. He was gifted FRIENDS on DVD by his mother. He first watched the show in Korean with English subtitles, then in English with Korean subtitles, and then finally in English. His English has mostly been self-taught.

2. V Has Both Monolid And Double Eyelid Eyes

Kim Taehyung, also known by his stage name V is the vocalist in the group. He is a singer, songwriter, producer, and actor. He is known for his strong vocals, innocent charms, and striking visuals. He was certified as the world's most handsome man in 2021 based on a global survey. But what attracts fans the most about his face are his eyes. If you look closely, you'll see he has monolid and double eyelid. This unique feature gives his face both softness and sharpness.

3. Jungkook's Microwave Phobia

Bts's beloved maknae, Jeon Jungkook, is a vocalist in the group. The 25-year-old artist is one of the most famous members of the group. Though known for his athletic physique and his fearless attitude, Jungkook has a very cute phobia. He is scared of microwaves. Yes, you read it right, the muscular big bunny is afraid of microwaves. He thinks they could explode at any time during the operation. He has mentioned on various occasions about his fear and how he used to run to his room as a child when a microwave was operating.

4. Jin Wanted To Become An Actor

Kim Seokjin, or Jin, is the oldest member of the group. He calls himself Worldwide Handsome, which for sure justifies his visuals. The vocalist is known as the group's mother, since he is the oldest and also takes care of the whole group. Jin originally wanted to pursue acting after watching Kim Nam-gil in Queen Seondeok. He was approached by entertainment agencies but rejected them, thinking they were a scam. The singer graduated with a degree in Film Studies from Konkuk University.

5. Jimin Was About To Be Named "baby J"

Park Jimin is one of the lead vocalists of the group. Before joining Bighit Entertainment, he studied contemporary dancing in his hometown Busan. Hence he's an exceptional dancer as well. In one of the group's appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimin confirmed that he had considered using "Baby J" as his stage name. However, the sound of introducing himself as "Baby J" sounded weird to him. Therefore he chose to use his real name only.

6. The Group Considered Disbanding In The Year 2018

Even though BTS is the most influential K-pop group in the world, the group had its fair share of struggles. It is tough in the competitive times to keep moving forward. In 2018, BTS started gaining international recognition and receiving awards on American TV. But this newfound fame also came with a lot of stress. 7. V Wanted To Become A Saxophonist

Kim Taehyung, also known as V, is the vocalist in the boy group BTS. He is known for his impressive vocal skills and captivating stage presence. While he is primarily recognized for his singing, dancing, and acting abilities, there have been moments where V has showcased his talent as a saxophonist. V has mentioned on numerous times that if not for being in the group, he would have been a Saxophonist. When asked why, V answered that it was the only instrument he knew how to play as a kid.

8. Suga Worked As A Delivery Boy

Min yoongi, also known as Suga, is a rapper, songwriter, and producer. Suga has always mentioned how he was not interested in studies and wanted to pursue music. The now millionaire rapper once had to choose between whether to have a meal or a bus ride. Suga came from a financially poor background. During his trainee days, he used to work as a delivery boy to pay for his tuition fees. This was also when he got into an accident and injured his shoulder. The rapper took a break in 2020 because of his shoulder surgery.

9. J-hope Doesn't Have His Ears Pierced

Jung Hoseok, also known as J-Hope, is a rapper, singer-songwriter, dancer, and producer. Before making his debut in BTS, the multi-talented rapper was part of the underground dance team Neuron and was relatively known in his hometown Gwangju. Jhope is the only member of the group who does not have his ears pierced. You might have seen him wearing earrings, but those are temporary ear cuffs and clips.

10. V Is Ambidextrous

V Is Ambidextrous, which means he can use both his hands. V has mentioned, on many occasions, that he is left-handed. However, he also uses his right hand to do other tasks, such as signing autographs. This fact adds more charm to his captivating presence.
