Every actor and actress has a long career, and it takes years to maintain their status because becoming famous is difficult. The Korean industry is no different. Their decisions or actions put them in a difficult situation losing everything, even their reputation. Korean fans would take their idols with great respect. Here are a few notable actors who were at the top of their careers but could not maintain their success.

1. Yoon Eun-Hye 

Yoon Eun-Hye is a South Korean actress, singer, performer, and model. She appeared in several dramas ,including Coffe Prince, Princess Hours, I Miss You, Personal Taste, and Love Alert. From 1999 to 2005,She was in the girl band Baby Vox. People praised Eun-hye for her design work for Join us and Samantha Thavas. She earned first place in one of the episodes of theChinese Fashion Show, but after the broad castaired, a famous designer accused her of stealing her design for the show. The public looked into her pastandwas stunned to discover that she had two additional designs from a famous designer. As a result, she was fired and thus lost her position in the industry.

2. Park Yoo-Chun 

Park Yoo-Chun is a South Korean actor and singer-songwriter. Also, as Mickey Yoochun and Monoym Yoochun, he is a member of the South Korean Boy Band JYJ and TVXQ. He was in some dramas like Roof top Prince, Sung kyungkwan Scandal, I Miss You, The Girl Who Sees Scents, and others. He was involved in a series of scandals, such as Sexual Harassment and the illegal use of drugs. Two years ago, Police convicted him of buying and using methamphetamine. Also, his brother, Yoo-Hwan, was investigated by Korean police for  using marijuana. It results in the decline of his career in the Korean Industry.

3.  Kim Hyun-Joong

Kim Hyun-Joong is a singer, actor, and songwriter from South Korea. He was in several dramas, including Playful Kiss, Boys Over Flowers, When The Time Stopped, Dream High, and others. He also belongs to the boy band SS501. Hyun-joong own actions terminated his popularity when his ex-girlfriend sued him for a physical assault that caused her miscarriage. Even though he won the case, by tarnishing his image. However, He has currently married to a non-celebrity woman without a wedding ceremony thanks to COVID-19 and the father of a three-year-old child.

4. JI-Soo

Ji Soo is a South Korean actor who has appeared in several dramas, including River Where The Moon Rises, Doctors, Moon Lovers- Scarlet Heart Ryeo, When I Was the Most Beautiful, Page Turner, and Weight lifting Fairy. Strong Women (Bong-Soon), among other things. Accused of being a school bully in the past and exposed his drinking, smoking, and attempted sexual assault while underage. However, Ji Soo has to post an apology letter to the audience admitting his past activities, except for sexual assault. Due to this, production cancelled him in between the shooting of the drama River Whe The Moon Rises, where he was replaced by actor Na In Woo, and they had to reshoot the drama to replace Ji Soo.

5. Koo Hye-Sun

Goo Hye-Sun is a South Korean actress, singer-songwriter, director, and artist. She appeared in some dramas, including Boys Over Flowers, Blood, Angle Eyes, You Are Too Much, Absolute Boyfriend, and others. She has not been able to impress the audience with her acting in the past ten years and is not improving. She divorced her husband, Ahn Jae Hyun, in 2020 after allegedly had an extramarital affair with his co-star, Oh Yeon  Seo. She lost her popularity.

6. Kang Ji Hwan

Kang Ji Hwan is a South Korean actor who has starred in dramas like Monster,Lie To Me, Hong Gil-Dong, Joseon Survival Period, Be Strong Geum Soon, Feel Good To Die, and more. Accussing him of sexually harassing and sexually assaulting two female staff members by entering their rooms while sleeping. However, he could not recall the incident. Following the arrest, he admitted to the majority of the charges. He received a finalized prison sentence of two years and six months, suspended for three years of probation.

Thus, led to a decline in his career.

7. Jo Min-Ki

Jo Min-Ki was a South Korean actor. He is known for his roles in  , Flames of Desire, Moon Lovers, Children of a Lesser God, and many more. He was also an assistant professor at Cheonju University  and a photographer who published two books and held a solo exhibition. Accusing of sexually assaulting his eight students while he was a professor in Central South Korea. He later apologized and resigned from his position as a teacher following the circumstances. When he was under investigation for the same, three days before appearing at the police station, he was found dead by his wife in the parking lot. The police said that

suicide was suspected. However, the case was closed due to the death of the actor. He lost his popularity even before his death.

8. Super Juniors Kang-In

Kim Young-Woon, also known as Kang-In, is a South Korean actor, singer, television host, and radio personality. He was a member of the boy band Super Junior and its sub-group Super Junior-T, Super Junior-H. he was also seen in dramas Attack on The Pin-Up Boys, We Got Married, Hello, School Girl ,The  Cat Funeral, and many more. In 2009 he got into a fight with two men that took place outside a bar in Seoul. After one month, authority arrested him for driving under the influence and crashing his car into a parked taxi. He was charged $6,810 as a fine for a drunk driving hit-and-run case. Again, police caught him driving

under the influence in 2016. In 2017 he was accused of drunkenly assaulting a woman at a bar, Which ended up as receiving a warning, as the victim refused to press a charge against him. Due to all this, he lost his popularity, and in 2019, he withdrew from his band group Super Junior.

9. Lee Jong-Hyun 

Lee Jong-hyun is a South Korean singer-songwriter, musician, and actor. He was a member of CNBLUE as  guitarist and vocalist. He appeared in some dramas like My Only Love Song, Orange Marmalade, That  Man Oh Soo, A Gentlemen’s Dignity, and many more. He received sexual videos of women in a chatroom with Jung Joon Young. He had inappropriate and sexual conversations about women, degrading them. That was apart of the Burning Sun Scandal. Also, he sent the wrong message to Youtuber Park Min Jung. Thus, it resulted in the decline of his career. However, he left the group after such allegations.

Lee Seung-Hyun is, known as Seungri; his stage name is a South Koreansongwriter, singer, actor,businessman, record producer, investor, DJ, and creative. He appeared in dramas like Road To High and Low, Angle Eyes, My Little Old Boy, Love Only, and many more. He was a member of the boy bandgroup BigBANG. He was involved in a complex scandal named Burning Sun Scandal in 2016. The allegations includesexual assault in February 2019, drug distribution in February 2019, prostitution, hidden cameras footage inOctober 2016 and 2015, tax evasion in March 2016, and police corruption.
