Here, we have a list of Korean celebrities you wouldn’t have thought that have these unique college degrees apart from their entertainment business:

1. Minzy

Gong Min-ji, popularly known by her stage name Minzy, is a South Korean rapper, dancer, and singer. She entered music industry as a member of the girl group 2NE1 in 2009. She debuted with her first solo in 2017, Minzy Work 01: “UNO.” She was born in Seoul, South Korea. She took her honorary degree in Theology from Baekseok University, South Korea.

2. Taecyeon

Ok Taec-yeon, well-known as Taecyeon, is a South Korean singer, rapper, actor, entrepreneur, and songwriter. He debuted with the boy band 2PM as a rapper. He released his first solo Japanese album in 2017. He studied Business Administration at Dankook University and attended the Korea University Graduate School of International Studies. He is trilingual. He can speak English, Korean, and Japanese very fluently.

3. Jung Jin Young

Jung Jin-young is a South Korean actor. He is well known for his films such as Once Upon a Time in a Battlefield, Battlefield Heroes, and many more. He is famously known for his role in King and the Clown. He has been honored with various awards for his respective roles. He completed his graduation from Seoul National University in Korean Language and Literature.

4. G-Dragon

Kwon Ji-Yong, famously known as G-Dragon, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, entrepreneur, rapper, fashion designer, and record producer. He has been given the title “King of K-pop”. In 2013, he became the first and the only solo artist to receive Artist of the Year in the Mnet Asia Music Award. He completed his graduation from Gukjae Cyber University, where he took a degree in Leisure Sports. He got his post-graduation degree from Sejong University in Content and Retail Distribution.

5. Kim Tae Hee

Kim Tae-hee is a South Korean actress. She is well-known for her roles in various Korean dramas. Some television series you must recognize her from are My Princess, Love Story in Harvard, Iris, Stairway to Heaven, etc. She moved to Seoul to attend college at Seoul National University. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Fashion design.

6. Kam Woo Sung

Kam Woo-sung is a South Korean actor. He is famously known for his epic role in the hit period film The King and the Clown. He made his acting debut in 1991 with the television series Our Paradise. In 2011, Kam was listed as one of the highest-paid performers on the KBS network. He took his Bachelor’s degree from Seoul National University in Oriental painting.

7. Sojin

Park So-jin, professionally known as Sojin, is a South Korean actress and singer. In 2010, she debuted as a member of K-pop girl group Girl’s Day. She was the leader of the girl group. She started her acting career with an appearance in The Spices Who Loved Me in 2020. She is an honorary graduate from Yeungnam University in Mechanical Engineering.

8. Kim Ji Seok

Kim Ji-seok is a South Korean actor. He debuted as a rapper in the Eurodance Boy band LEO. But the band got disbanded after only eight months. He majored in German at the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. He is fluent in English, and he also has received teaching certificates in German and English. He has a post-graduation in Cultural Contents Planning from Kyung Hee University, which is the School of Journalism and Communication.

9. Heechul

Kim Hee-chul, well-known as Heechul, is a South Korean actor, singer, and songwriter. He is a member of the South Korean boy band Super Junior. His acting career started before he got into the band, where he starred in teen drama Sharp 2. He completed his Bachelor’s from Sangji Youngsoe College in English Tourism translation. He also took a degree in Examination for Self-Education.

10. Young K

Kang Young-hyun, well-known as Young K, is a South Korean singer, musician, rapper, and songwriter. He also went to the fourth episode of WIN: Who Is Next? As a part of JYP Entertainment. He got selected as one of the members of the rock band 5Live, but it got cancelled, so it re-originated as Day6. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Dongguk University in Business Administration in 2017.
