Article: Top Ten Anime Villains Who Turned Into Heroes

We all know that a Villain is as appealing to the story as the Hero. The Anime Heroes are famous for showing their power of love and friendship during the fights. They have given hope to many and shown inexplicable power-ups. Sometimes, it gets to the point where even Anime Villains change sides after either realizing what they've done wrong or getting entranced with the aura of the good side. So, here is a list of the top ten Anime Villains who switched their sides for good and became a hero.

1. Gaara- Naruto

Gaara's life was similar to Naruto's at the beginning of the Anime series Naruto. Naruto and Gaara, both Jinchuriki, were feared and hated by the villagers because of the demon inside them. Gaara's father tested Gaara's control of the beast and ordered Gaara's uncle, Yashamaru, to attack him and tell Gaara that he got never loved. This event changes Gaara to hate everyone.  It was not until Gaara met Naruto, who suffered the same in his village and could understand his pain. Gaara starts to change for good and improve his relationship with the villagers in Suna. Eventually, with Naruto's motivation- he became the Kazekage.

2. Vegeta- Dragon Ball Series

If it is the Saiyan transformation or transformation from evil to good- Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z got to be the best. Goku could've overcome Vegeta to show the power of humanity, but instead, he challenges Vegeta and turns him from a rival to even a comrade. It won't be a surprise if we remember Goku's resilience and innocence. It leads to us getting the best fight scenes, showing the power of the Saiyan Prince.

3. Nico Robin- One Piece

When Nico Robin first debuted in the Anime Once Piece- she was a member of a conspirational secret agency and partner of Crocodile. Her job was to assassinate Princess Vivi, a friend of Straw Hats. After Luffy defeats Crocodile, she joins the Straw Hat crew. While it is easy for other members to accept her, Roronoa Zoro doesn't believe that easily. But eventually, with time, it developed. Robin shows her loyalty and feelings towards Straw Hats during the Enies Lobby Arc, where Robin officially becomes their part.

4. Scar- Fullmetal Alchemist

The most well-developed character in the Anime series Fullmetal Alchemist is Scar. Scar debuted as a villain who targets and kills State Alchemists, which makes him look like a monster. Despite being from a peace-preaching religion, Scar considered genocide for revenge. His anger made him destroy people who tried to help him.  As the series progresses, he justifies his feelings aside and alley with Edward and Al, the Fullmetal brothers, who work towards the same goal- peace.

5. Sesshomaru- Inuyasha

We can say that Sesshomaru got the best character development in the Anime Inuyasha. Earlier, he was a ruthless villain who hated humans but alleys with a young girl, Rin. Rin changes him into good. Although he initially hated Rin's kindness, Sesshomaru realizes how much he likes to care for her after Rin gets killed by wolves. After he brings Rin back to life, she becomes his companion for the rest f the series. Eventually, Sesshomaru accepts humans and helps Inuyasha and his friends to defeat Naraku.

6. Kyoka Izumi- Bungou Stray Dogs

Kyoka Izumi from Anime Bungou Stray Dogs never wanted to become a Villain and part of the Port  Mafia in the first place. She has a power- known as a 'gift,' called Demon Snow, which is perfect for assassinations. Her ability caused chaos as a little girl. To protect herself, she joins the Port Mafia. The protagonist Atsushi notices her unwillingness and rescues her. The Agency eventually helps him shield her and rehabilitate her to become good.

7. Hanazawa Teruki- Mob Psycho 100

Teruki Hanazawa started the series with an arrogant teen boy who used his psychic powers to become famous. His powers involved control over many gangs. When the protagonist gets tasked to defeat him, they have a dramatic battle. The fans get so impressed with Teruki's way of fighting that he leaves the fight with only damage to his hair. During the duel with Mob, Teruki realizes he is not the strongest person with psychic powers. His battle with Mob changes him.

8. Itona Horibe- Assassination Classroom

Itona didn't start well with Class-3-E, called the Assassination Classroom. Since he entered, Itona declared his motive to kill anyone better than him, including Koro Sensei. After Itona's master abandons him, Koro Sensei resolves to take him under his protection. Itona gets moved by Class-3-E's compassion and decides to join them. He goes from a selfish and cold killer to a loyal member.

9. Crona- Soul Eater

Like many characters who started as a villain but to the Hero side later, Crona from the Anime Soul Eater never actually wanted to become a villain in the first place. He got pressured by their mother to become a killer. It made it difficult for Crona to go against his mother while getting mentally unstable. Later, Crona meets Maka, who he wants to protect. This feeling leads to recognizing his reasons for being a villain.

10. Redfox- Fairy Tail

Gajeel Redfox first appeared in the series as a villain but later spent most of the Anime as a good guy. Redfox attacked the Fairy Tail guildhall and Team Shadow gear when being a part of the Phantom Lord guild. After Phantom Lord disbanded, he joined the Fairy Tail guild, and Gajeel eventually showed his worth and became a strong mage. The Fairy Tail mages started to trust him and not question his loyalty.
