Anime Digest

Yuuki Yuuna Wa Yuusha De Aru: Dai Mankai No Shou is back with another season! As the show continues, Sanshu Middle School Hero Club’s wonderful girls have one mission: to make others happy anytime they can and always assist those in need. Yuuna, Mimori, Fuu, Itsuki, Karin, and Sonoko have defeated deadly Vertexes, rescued a missing friend, and managed their lives as magical girls and regular middle school students via teamwork and the use of their magical skills. This season marks a new quest, one that will put their abilities to the test as well as their friendship.

 The Feel-Good Part

Some of the episodes are funny, and the main protagonists can be seen going about their regular lives without the flashbacks and emotional labor.

 The Disappointing Factor

Dai Mankai no Shou’s plot is a mixture of prologue, midquel, and epilogue. The story and characters don’t get enough development. The show gets complicated by the end of this season, as despite this season being a sequel, many events are mixed with previous seasons. This hurriedness, as well as the lack of action and consistency, gave me the impression that this was a hastily completed project.

 In-Depth Analysis

Yuuna Yuuki is a star in her everyday life. She is a member of her middle school’s Hero Club, where she tries her hardest to serve others and make everyone smile. However, Yuuna is always up for a challenge and is about to be a superstar. Mysterious deadly forces known as Vertexes begin to threaten the planet she loves. The members of the Hero Club are unexpectedly taken to a strange forest by an explosion of light, where they battle mysterious monsters known as Vertex, who attempt to destroy the Shinju (“Divine Tree”), the guardian deity who protects and blesses humanity. Yuuna and her friends must turn into “heroes” with magical powers via a particular phone application provided by Taisha, an organization dedicated to the Shinju, to save their world from impending disaster. Yuuna and the Hero Club must fight for their world’s survival between studying and making everyone smile.

 Star Power

Unfortunately, this season did not impress. The series’ opening and closing tracks are unquestionably the best. As more of the narrative is introduced, this animation sequence evolved.

 Overall Opinion

Overall, this season is not as good as the previous two. Some parts are a disappointment as the story and characters don’t get enough development.
