Drama Digest
The story is based on Himuro Ayame and Yukimura Shinya. They are first-year students of post-graduate science and technology researchers at Saitama University. Another character Kanade Kotonoha is also a student of Saitama University. She is in an undergraduate program and is currently in her fourth year. It happens that Himuro confesses to Yukimura that she is in love with him. Yukimura demands scientific proof. Thus, the story goes on with its humor. It shows the process that unravels what “love” is and whether it exists between both of them, also involving the third character Kotonoha.
The Feel-Good Part
For the good part, the couple Himuro and Yukimura, and their characters deserve the most appreciation. The OST is very appealing and the opening is also grand. The animators did a great job on the visuals. The characters are portrayed well and gain the most recognition.
The Disappointing Part
When it comes to romance, the show failed. They used many scientific theories to prove their love for each other, but there were no elements of romance in it. Being a rom-com, it failed to deliver great entertainment and hence could not provide a memorable ending.
In-Depth Analysis
Generally, science is believed to be the most probable explanation to prove any phenomena. But there are many such aspects that even science cannot provide logical reasoning. The one such concept shown here is “Love”. When Ayame Himuro confesses her love for Shinya Yukimura, her fellow scientist, Yukimura tries to question the meaning of love. They both then decide to perform scientific research to prove if they have something called “Love” between them. Either of them not having much romantic experience starts conducting their experiments to test the behaviors and mannerisms that indicate love and if they complement it.
Star Power
The characters are the most attractive in the show. The mangaka did a great job in creating all the characters. The show depicts the writer’s great interest in scientific research and knowledge, which was equally beneficial and disappointing.
Overall Opinion
Overall, it’s a good to-watch show if you are interested in rom coms, although it failed to deliver most elements. It does not need significant investment and can be watched for humor.
