Anime Digest

After a dream about a mysterious figure, Yuuko Yoshida awakens to see that she has developed demonic horns and a tail. Bewildered and befuddled, her mom uncovers a family secret. Where she discovers that her family is descended from a Dark Clan that was forced to live frail and desperate lives by their human adversaries, the Light Clan’s magical girls. The best way to lift their family’s revile is for Yuuko to track down a magic girl, kill her, and sacrifice her blood to the ancestors.

The Feel-Good Part

The animation in the show looks truly dynamic and warm, which makes it exceptionally extraordinary. The makers worked effectively with the character designs, not just making them look charming, but additionally, having them coordinate well with the theme of the show. The show fills an interesting niche in some ways or another by being a rom-com despite not being a rom-com. Machikado Mzoku has a well-arranged plot that naturally hoists it over most the similar CGDCT-type anime.

The Disappointing Factor

Sometimes the speed of the episodes is excessively sluggish and scenes or jokes are delayed for a long time. Other times it’s too fast, giving you scarcely any chance to take in the information. Also, the season 2 soundtrack isn’t on par with season 1 when compared. The voice acting is great, yet towards the beginning of the series, it slacks.

In-Depth Analysis

The entire anime fundamentally revolves around only two characters, which is a burden on those characters. They must be amusing and at the same time display good chemistry between them. However, the comical elements keep this anime well-balanced. The personality of Yuuko is extremely entertaining, and Momo’s easygoing mentality drives this entire anime. The bond between the two girls feels so strong that it hints as though they are more than just friends. be extremely close, essentially being companions. one can not come to any conclusion as nothing is exclusive about their bond. In this way, the anime presents an odd limbo where the character dynamic is adorable but not romantic.

Star Power

The characters are not only great but good-hearted as Momo, regardless of being a pink-haired magical girl, isn’t very lively or hopeful, yet, her feelings don’t appear as if she doesn’t care at all. She does have feelings, and sometimes really strong ones. On the other hand, Shamiko is a complete binary to Momo, at least for the former part of Momo’s attributes. It’s likewise intriguing to see a good-hearted character attempt to give a valiant effort to be “shrewd” and fill the job that she currently needs to satisfy. She has a decent harmony between her pure-heartedness and her weaknesses and wants. This allows her to be cleared up by her job and attempt to give her all as a member of the dark clan.

Overall Opinion

This anime is very entertaining in terms of its character development and execution of the plot. It has a CGDCT-type animation, which is widely liked by the viewers. You can give it a watch, but it depends on you if you want to pursue it seriously or just play in the background. Either way, it does its job of offering lighthearted entertainment.
