Anime Digest
Dino girl Gauko is a child conten- based Japanese anime comedy series, and to date, there have been two seasons got released, and aired on Netflix. The story revolves around a ten years old girl named Naoko Watanabe, who is in the fifth standard. She is a typical, shy and introverted child with brown curly hair. She wears a plain yellow top, and a pink skirt. She has a crush on Toshio, and she loves her parent’s cooking. She loves to see the beauty of nature and loves poetry too. She is annoyed that she possesses some extraordinaryl power that turns her into a dangerous dinosaur girl Gauko whenever she gets angry. She doesn’t like that Bibilian has a crush on her and sometimes acts over-possessive about her. She has two best friends, Erika, and Kana. She gets angry by seeing bad things, Saito, and she also hate bullies, and these are the things that often turn her into Gauko.
The Feel-Good Part
The best part of the film is little Naoko is a good girl. She loves poetry, and nature, and she loves her parents, and dislikes bad things and bullies. She possesses some extraordinary power which turns her into a dino girl Gauko, and after becoming Gauko, she gets more energy, and she can use them against nasty things like hatred, violence, bullies, etc. She can also use her powers against the wrong deeds done by Bibilian for his selfishness, and obsession for her.
The Disappointing Factor
The most disappointing factor is showing something supernatural, like a ten years old girl turning into a dangerous dino girl when she gets angry, which makes no sense. Another disappointing factor is the character of Bibilian; he is shown as a creepy guy playing cheap foul and always keeps on conspiring, this character should have been removed because at a point, I realized that the character can have a bad impact on children’s minds and also make them toxic like the same character.
In-Depth Analysis
The story involves typical child fantasy, some intangible factors where a child becomes a dangerous dinosaur when she gets angry about bad things and is an ideal girl. There is also shown an annoying character Bibilian who is a trouble causer to Naoko, which should be removed because this toxic character can have a bad impact on children’s minds.
Star Power
Naoko Matsui (Naoko Watanabe), her mom (Chie Kojiro), her dad (Chafurin), Bibilian (Hiroshi Kamiya), etc., these voice artists gave their voices to the characters, and everybody gave their voice in an excellent manner.
Overall Opinion
This is a child based anime show which includes supernatural concepts. This show is suitable for all age groups people. I would suggest this movie to adults or teens who love anime shows.
