Drama Digest

The prince of this small and weak nation has just one goal in mind: to sell up his land and live a calm and leisurely life unfortunately, the most significant challenge he will ever face is his brilliance…! As he achieves more tremendous success, he gains more and more popularity among the people of his kingdom.  which makes realizing his ambitions even more difficult.

The Feel Good Part

At the urging of a petulant royal who wants nothing more than to go to the countryside and enjoy a peaceful life, he initially trots and gallops intermittently. The majority of the book concentrates on Wein’s bizarrely constructed war-turned-success tale and how a crazy notion becomes even crazier when his plan to take foreign land, notably a gold mine, really works. Apart from this bizarre setting, the book portrays Wein as a great strategist with a short fuse. True, his desire to get things done is frequently surpassed by his desire to get somethings out of the way. Short sightedness, on the other hand, is one of his most serious flaws. When constantly forgets that there is an equal and opposite reaction to every action.

The Disappointing Factor

The world-building was good but not great, and the characters were simple but endearing; however, where this drama shines is in the plot and its focus on its political shenanigans; the story had a good balance between diplomatic battles and tactical ones, which provided much-welcomed variety; another thing I liked was that, despite the situations being very different from one another, they all led to the next event in a very simple way, making every event feel that much more real; another thing I liked.

In Depth Analysis

We meet the personalities, but there doesn’t appear to be any passion between them. The protagonist wants to be free of duty and retire. At the very least, he has objectives. The rest of the book is spent with him making excellent judgments and thinking circles around all of his foes. He’s the go-to man who knows everything.

Star Power

One of the most amusing dramas. The prince is unquestionably brilliant, his assistant is charming, and the kingdom is unquestionably bankrupt.

Overall Opinion

I mean, I’m not a big fan of politics, but I enjoy world-building, and this story doesn’t have a magical fantasy setting like a Genjitsu, which makes it more interesting to read because it could happen in real life. I also enjoy RTS games and history, so I enjoyed this book and hope the author will continue the series. Fanservice clichés in anime and manga are few and far between. The novel benefits as a result, but there’s still a chance it’ll descend into another harem love comedy. Hopefully, the author will keep the story focused on the prince and his political maneuvering. It’s the story’s most fascinating component.
