Drama Digest

Fumiya Tomozaki, the protagonist, is on the bottom rung of society. Tomozaki is one of the best gamers in Japan who sees his life as merely a game. He doesn’t follow any rules, he doesn’t use his senses, and his life isn’t balanced. He struggles with socialization, as indicated in the title. Tomozaki thinks he is ugly despite his good looking and he embraces a friendship with the most beautiful girl in his school named Aoi Hinami. Hinami encourages him and helps him socialize with other people. She made Tomozaki view life as a game and refined his talents and traits until he became a “top-tier character.” Hinami makes him satisfies his desire for social interaction through gaming. Tomozaki felt that Hinami misguided him, he desires friends and social life, but he does not seek to obtain those things through lies. She suppressed his words and honesty and ordered him to obey her words. Towards the end of the series, Tomozaki became the most likable character and, Hinami the least. Unfortunately, the romance didn’t succeed because Hinami became the most unlikable character in the further episodes.

The Feel Good Path

Hinami took her baby step to bring Tomozaki into the natural interaction with the world. Till the end of this drama, we see Tomozaki maintain the righteousness, honesty and, truth and never gets misguided by the words and lies of Hinami. I believe the “Bottom-Tier” character Tomozaki utilized low standard character effectively. Although this is an anime drama, it showcased the emotions, jealousy, betrayal in a realistic manner.     It also gave equal attention to the secondary characters. Comedy is a highly subjective topic you find yourself laughing at throughout this series. This drama contains a ting thingy of romance. This drama deals well with the friendship theme. The drama managed to keep a nice pace and developed the main stories.

The Disappointing Factor

Hanami was supposed to be a close friend of Tomozaki, and a romance would develop between them. But the expectation was spoiled because the story shifts itself to a grudge, jealousy and, betrayal. A well-expected friendship and love between Tomozaki and Hinami fell apart.

In Depth Analysis

The manga and anime series Fumiya Tomozaki, abbreviated as Tomozaki, is based on the novel Tomozaki-Kun written by Yaku Yuki. The drama portrays that the looks may be deceptive, but only your true character can reveal your inner light. Straightening the hair, wearing a stylish dress, or acting through others’ words and thoughts will completely erase your existence. This drama keenly portrays that ‘sometimes just one choice might change the person’s entire life.’

Star Power

Aio Hinami juggles between her character to prove her tendency of uplifting.

Overall Opinion

Bottom Tier’s advice works, making him more interesting to watch despite its flaws. This drama boosts the confidence in non-socializing people. Watch this drama to discover the juggles that Hinami made to put Tomozaki on the wrong path.
