Drama Digest

“Boku no Hero Academia” is a Japanese anime series based on the Manga series of the same name. It is mainly the story of the protagonist of the show “Deku” who was born without a quirk and embodied one from the No. 1 hero called “All Might”. While he struggles to control his power and also to make use of it, he is determined to adapt it and become a great hero in the future. The fifth season of the show covers the “Pro Hero” arc along with “The joint training” and “Meta liberation army”. This season shows Izuku Midoriya, who is still struggling to use the one for all power to its full potential during the joint training battle.

The Feel-Good Part

“My hero Academia” is a popular anime with a shonen theme. It is mainly popular for all the action and adventure shows while the students in UA high undergo Hero training. The show is a superhero show. It is most popular among young boys who resemble Izuku Midoriya’s character. The character development in the show is remarkable, and it shows the progress in the development of the powers of all the characters as they suffer from various problems, including family and friendship. The battles and challenges shown in the series are competitive and entertaining to watch. This season of the series focuses on the tragic background of the League characters. It shows how the cruel villains, now part of the villain League, were once innocent and how certain incidence changed their life forever.

The Disappointing Factor

The show started with a good plot, but as it went on with its many seasons; it started derailing from the main plot. Season 5 offered a new direction in the show and enhance the plot but it failed to do so and hence, it could not tell the story that the writer originally wanted to tell. They dragged the pacing of the story, which ruins the narrative structure of the show. The repetitive flashbacks of the character’s background also make it boring. This season of the show doesn’t have many action scenes with the villains or many villain appearances, which is the reason for the low rating.

In-Depth Analysis

UA Academy has had multiple villain attacks in the past over the last year. Class 1A has been receiving a lot of attention from all the potential students present there. And because of that, class 1B are feeling unrecognized as they are class 1 A’s rivals. To prove their skills, they are eagerly waiting for the opportunity that has been given as a mock battle between the students of each class. They split both the classes into groups of 4 and each group has to catch during the battle. Whoever captures all four members of their opposing group becomes the winner. This Petal has a twist compared to the other betters that have been shown in the show previously. This time 1 general course student name Hitoshi Shinsou, who was winning to transfer into the hero course, is also taking part in the battle. He trained with class 1 A’s homeroom teacher Aizawa sense, also known as “Eraserhead” but still has a lot to catch up on compared to the hero course students. But besides that, he is determined to prove to everyone his worth.

Star Power

The voice actors for the show never failed to entertain us with their humorous and graceful performances. Yamashita Daiki, the popular Yuki Kaji, Okamoto Nobuhiko, and Miyake Junichi, were a few of the prominent VAs.

Overall Opinion

Overall, it is an entertaining show with good character development and fun battles. But if you are following up on the manga and the storyline, it might not be interesting as it does not add up much to the plot. Besides that, we can watch it as simple entertainment with no heavy twists.
