In-Depth Analysis

Initially, the series began with performances abroad. The musicians would hold a live performance in an unknown place where people would hardly know them. This way, they would introduce themselves. But due to the surging effects of Covid 19, overseas travelling got banned. During this season, they decided to visit different places in South Korea to comfort the citizens with songs in times of dire need when everything seemed to be falling apart.

The concept behind the making of this series is enthralling. Everything about the show stands on the notion of unfamiliarity. The language, place and people are unknown, but music connects them, transcending those boundaries. Nevertheless, the effect of Covid 19 cast another layer of significance over the show. It sympathises with the current situation of many directly or indirectly affected by the pandemic bringing solace to these people who embark on this symbolic journey. The enthusiastic team planned the procedure and chose the songs after intense discussions. It is vivid from behind-the-stage scenes.

The first episode happens at the Incheon International Airport. The airport spreads tunes of consolation through the stranded emptiness devoid of its usual busy schedule. Crush and Jung Seung-hwan are the newly joined members revealed in this episode. It follows their performance specially addressed to the medical staff who worked wholeheartedly against the surging infections. Daegu fills with resonance as Sora Lee and Crush takes on. The third episode continues in Daegu, but this time in the well-known artist’s area of Suchang Youth Mansion, which stays vacant due to the pandemic. The sunset and melancholy echo in sync through their melodies under the basking light. Thanks to their effort that the place’s void gained voice like before. They move on to Gangwon-do from Daegu, where nature screams in beauty and flows in effortless sync with their music. From ‘When I Dream’ to ‘Rolling in the Deep’ the various heart-fluttering songs continues to take the show to an exhilarating extent. The aura of the beach and picturesque views resume in the next episode. Gyeongsangbuk-do is the chosen place for the next episode. Romantic melodies take over the realm and make the people at the docks flutter delightfully with their songs. Busan is the destination for the next episode, where the show unfolds itself in a refreshing mood. Tunes grow in sync with the waves in the city of beaches and bring new hope to the people. It carries the aura to their next stop Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do, where they spread warmth through songs like ‘Just a feeling’, ‘Uptown Funk’ and many more. As the ending nears, they move to Seoul for the last two episodes. Here dance accompanies music as their journey ends with a list of various hopeful songs.
