Movie Digest

Jae Shik has spent his entire life as a loner. He is always low on cash and prepared to take any job that comes his way. Jae Shik willingly accepts the role of Eun Hye’s father to earn a large quantity of money as a caretaker for a disabled child. Eun Hye is both deaf and blind. However, life with Eun Hye turns out to be different from what he expected. Jae Shik and Eun Hye’s lives are forever changed.

The Feel-Good Part

There are many cute moments between Jae Shik and Eun Hye, which will bring a big smile to your face. Jeong Seo Yeon’s acting skills will leave you in awe throughout the movie.

The Disappointing Factor

The plot is very sloppy and dull. The team could have found more appealing ways to demonstrate the film’s noble intentions.

In-Depth Analysis

You’re So Precious to Me is a touching story about a rare bond between an audio-visual impaired child and an immature adult. This film helps us understand the difficulties that disabled people experience and the limited opportunities available. Although Jae Sik was after the money, he finally recognizes the situation of Eun Hye and tries to win her heart by changing the way he communicates with her. The boring plot overshadows the film’s excellent intentions. The story of a troubled man and a lonely child bonding and developing into a family-like relationship is somewhat cliche. The pure spirit of the child causes changes in the tormented man’s heart. Exposing the isolated child to the outside world is a cause of this change. The narrative unfolds just as you might expect.

Star Power

The performances of the actors add life and emotion to the plot. Jeong Seo Yeon, who played a seven-year-old Eun Hye, stands out. She carried the movie even though she did not speak anything.

Overall Opinion

It is one of those films that is light but filled with emotions. Highly recommend it!
