Gwang Ho is a prospect on his high school team. A professional baseball team does not draft him. His relation with his team members’ detoriates when he cannot let go of his desire to continue playing baseball. He eventually starts selling fake gasoline with his friend Min Cheol. To continue play baseball he decides to play baseball at the university.

The Feel-Good Part

The movie depicted a life of a high school baseball player and his need to enter into a professional team. It inspires many folks and it is quite good to watch. It has a good sense of humor. The baseball fans can appreciate the bringing of a professional baseball player. Gwang-ho’s love towards baseball makes him enroll his name to play baseball in the university. It also the desperation of a boy to play baseball and the lengths he can go to play baseball.

The Disappointing Factor

The movie was a bit exhausting as it was reaching its end. His decision of playing baseball in the university is not supported by his father nor his coach or his teammates. It is somewhat discouraging and the movie also contains some sadistic moments. The movie also depicts the discrimination among different classes. It was a bit disappointing in the end.

The bitter truth of reality is shown in the movie. The boy has to go through the hardships of gathering money to enter into the university. It shows the need of money in life to achieve your dreams. The movie will keep you going. The title of the movie goes perfectly with the plot because; it shows that the boy (Gwang-ho) is trying to keep up with his dreams even though he has to face the hardships and the cold reality. His character encourages the viewers. It shows that he is not out in his life and still he keeps on going. The movie is realistic and there is liveliness in the movie. The movie is realistic because it shows the hardships of trying to achieve your dreams no matter what it is. Here, in this case his dream is to play baseball and also get into the professional team. The movie also shows the power that the wealthy people has over the poor people. It depicted that life is indeed hard.

Star Power

The selection of casts were done perfectly and the characters are fresh and new. Jeon Jaekwang did a great job along with Jeong Seung-gil and Jung Do Hur.

Overall Opinion

Overall, the movie was impressive. The movie had many good elements rather than the acting and casting. The storyline was appealing and the factor that made me like it more is the realistic view of the society. The movie was overall satisfying.
