The movie is about a man who gradually comes to terms with his late father while on the run in his father’s wacky beat-up car.  The car was named Stellar. Giving him more challenging time a gang starts coming after Young Bae, claiming that their drugs were inside the missing car. He attends the funeral after hearing of his father’s death and impending inheritance. He starts to find his father’s beat-up Stellar that he drove as a taxi. He remembered it as a significant and luxury sedan, but he could barely open its door now. But he still goes it as he looks for his friend. Stellar runs like a sports car when Young Bae is being chased. It helped him to escape unscathed. He recollects his father’s memories as he clashes with Stellar. He begins to understand his father’s intentions that he never explained in words and grew from a son to a father.

The feel-good part

The storyline and plot were impressive. The moments between a father and a son were also mesmerizing. The cinematography captured all the elements in a polished approach. The choreography shined best in the combination of comedy and violence.

The disappointing factor

When too many things happened at the same time, the movie didn’t make much sense. Too many characters were involved in a single event which was disappointing.

In-depth analysis

Stellar combines comedy with action elements and a bit of family drama. The melodrama had pleasing efforts with both good and bad moments. The movie combined car-chase elements with a road-trip aspect that had Young Bae was fumbling over almost every issue a driver can slip upon. Offensive drivers, mechanical issues, and impolite customers were willing to resort to violence to solve their problems. The action approach was comic, but occasionally, the scenes were violent. Other than action, comedy is another central aspect of the movie encompassing all other films. Young Bae’s memories of his father and childhood bring the element of family drama that occasionally borders on melodrama. The functions of the car possess elements of humanity.

Star power

The acting was pleasing. The star quality benefited the movie. Son Ho-Jun as Young Bae was outstanding. He played his role the perfection and enthusiasm.

Overall opinion

Stellar is a comic and heart-warming movie to watch. It is a fun and easygoing movie.
