Salvation is a horror-thriller film from 2021 that was released on April 8th. The whole movie Salvation has a run time of 1 hour and 44 minutes and was made on an undisclosed budget. A prostitute is discovered dead in the river after stealing a billion won from her pimp. His pimp enlists the assistance of a cop to reclaim the money. Following a vehicle accident, this cop visits a mystical retreat that worships a goddess embodied in the form of a child.

The Feel-Good Part

The film impressively portrayed Grief, remorse, regret, and other “heavy” emotions. Even though the premise isn’t the most creative or inventive ever, the characters and their backstories, particularly Seok- Jae’s, coJae’sute to making this a worthwhile watch. Lee Chang-directorial moo’s debut, Salvation, is fantastic.

Detective Seok-Jae visits a freezing riverbed in Miryang, Gyeongsangnam Province, to confirm the death of Jin-sook, a prostitute who stole one billion won from a brothel pimp named Dal-soo. Detective Lim claims the woman committed suicide, but Chun-Ja, a coffee shop worker who discovered the body, claims she would never commit suicide. Seok-Jae awakens in Seongrimwon and begins to investigate the location’s mysteries. Then, on February 19, the horrifying information is revealed: the residents of that location are preparing to commit suicide in the hope of salvation.

Star Power

Kim Jung Seok aka Detective Seok Jae brilliantly pulls out the role of a detective. Other leads Lee Sang In and Jang Jae Hee also play their characters impressively. The cast in this film was top-notch.

Overall Opinion

This Korean drama revolves around the death of a prostitute, Jin Sook, who drew a detective into the investigation and discovery of the prayer house. Will the investigator discover the true cause of her murder? and defend those who worship in the prayer house… Watch this drama to learn more.
