Movie Digest

Set in the near future 2220, the government replaced the labour force with artificial humans or clones in the city of Seoul for maintaining the healthy lives of people, by paying insurance premium services. The artificial humans are used for the industry or public work until they used for the health of the original human being.

The main characters Jung Kyung Ho and his artificial Kang Yoo Seok accompany each other without knowing each other’s truth.

The Feel-Good Part

The friendship and chemistry between the main characters is commendable. Differences in their origin, shows contrast between them but also shows how differences can be blended very beautifully to complement each other. The plot set up in the science fiction, does seem to justify itself. The plot is relatable as well, as it presents the issue of unemployment, struggles to meet the ends, and the competition in the employment sector, which is relevant in the present situation as well.

The Disappointing Factor

There is slight tinge of romance, written in the plot, but the romance is not bit prominent for the viewer to remember that connection development. The trailer might not look very promising at first, hence it might not be intriguing.

In-Depth Analysis

The main characters Jung Kyung Ho and his artificial Kang Yoo Seok meet at the daily job market, seeking for the jobs. The friendship between Kyung Ho and Yoo Seok seems to develop as the plot moves forward. Humans have restored the 21st century, and lot of artificial humans aka [A.H] have been abandoned and have returned to the job market. The depth in the story unravels itself, as how the medical insurance premium works for creating the artificial humans based on the health of the original human being, the increasing desperation of the people for getting jobs, the uncertainty a person has regarding getting a job and their feeling of anxiousness and desperation have been delivered well by the casting. Though the plot is based on sci-fi, the scenes are set in quite natural settings, allowing the viewers to get more connected with the emotions delivered through the movie.

Star Power

The casting seems to justify their role, the supporting characters are well written.

Overall Opinion

The plot set up in the Sci-fi backdrop seems interesting, the scene settings being completely natural, addressing the issues of unemployment, issues of flawed health care system, delivering affection in the relationship between human and an artificial human, the responsibilities of the family on the human, will be relatable to watch and the plot will also entertain you.
