Movie Digest

This movie is directed by Adam Wong. The Kowloon industrial district is a place for many hip-hop lovers in Hong Kong including the rapper Heyo, Youtuber Ah Leung, a rising star Hana, and the dancer Dave. The government wants th3 gentrification of this area and they were invited to participate in a publicity stunt to transform the district into a dancing street but Heyo’s master is planning a revolution.

The Feel-Good Part

The final scene where they all turn the commercial into a protest is very satisfying and conveys an important message.

The Disappointing Factor

It did not have many dancing scenes, unlike the first part which is about politics more than dancing, which left some viewers disappointed.

In-Depth Analysis

The Kowloon industrial district is a place for many hip-hop lovers in Hong Kong KIDA(Kowloon industrial city artists), who are rappers, dancers, and graffiti artists, who want to save their creative environment from the government, including the rapper Heyo, Youtuber Ah Leung, a rising star Hana, and the dancer Dave. The government wants th3 gentrification of this area and they were invited to participate in the publicity stunt to transform the district into a dancing street but Heyo’s master is planning to make it into a revolution. The old friends don’t approve of selling out their place by doing a publicity stunt for the government. This movie is more about politics than about hip-hop, unlike the first movie which is about college students dancing.

Star Power

Everyone acted well and brought out the concept of hip-hop and conveyed it brilliantly.

Overall Opinion

This movie is good and brings out the essence of hip-hop. The love for hip-hop is conveyed well and it is interesting to watch. This movie has more room for improvement but it’s worth watching.
