The Feel Good Part

Powerful performances by the lead actors, and a story line that is truly emotional.

Some of the graphic scenes, especially the ones involving the gold fish could have been reduced

In-Depth Analysis

Hana, an eighteen-year-old girl has been brought in a group home as her mother was incarcerated for a crime. She watches painfully as the group home’s newest member Harumi struggles to get adjusted and cannot get along with the other members.

Hana reaches out to Harumi, and takes her under her wing. As Harumi opens up, Hana realizes that she has been abused by her mother, and recollects her own abusive childhood as her mother appeals for a retrial.

The movie is their journey in the cruel, abusive world that they inhabit.

Star Power

The star cast has an impressive debut by Sara Ogawa as Hana, and is supported by Runa Hanada who plays Harumi.

Overall Opinion

A touching tale of two young girls fighting their circumstances. If you are in the mood for a good cry, then this movie is worth a watch.
