Movie Digest

Mitsuhashi and Ito go to a new high school and take up delinquent personas. They also spend their time retaliating against the thugs that keep hassling them. In their final year of high school, Hokunei High, rents a part of Akehisa high, who are their former bitter rivals.

The Feel-Good Part

This movie is a comedy with a slapstick nature and has accurately captured the aesthetics of the original. There is a lot of filled-with-gags type of humor as well.

The movie is not Feel-good, but the action sequences with the fights flow perfectly, and the clashes between the rival school gangs are appropriately dramatic. The action choreography is impeccable, and the music and editing add to it.

The cinematography and editing are fast-paced and suit this style of movie.

The Disappointing Factor

The movie has a lot of parts that feel annoying and repetitive because of its slapstick nature which is addressed and pandered to otakus. The jokes are also very predicable.

In-Depth Analysis

Takashi antagonizes Katsutoshi Imai, another delinquent who has taken a liking to Takashi’s sister. On the other hand, a different school full of thugs transfers to their school and takes over with the help of their two leaders; Shigehiro Otake and Eiji Yanagi. A weak boy Satoru finds himself in between them, while his gorgeous cousin Ryoko protects him from the bad guys while also attracting the same bad guys to her because of her beauty. As the fighting gets tense, a showdown is looming on the horizon.

Star Power

All the actors do their roles justice. Comedy and action are well-balanced. Kento Kaku and Kentaro Ito perform their assigned parts with excellency. The rest of the cast includes Nana Seino and Kanna Hashimoto, who also fit well in their given roles.

Overall Opinion

The absurdity required for this particular type of drama is fully present and welcomed. The action and violence are also balanced with comedy so people can enjoy watching it. The movie is apt for a one-time watch.
