Cube is a Japanese remake of a Canadian movie with the same name, released in 1997. The plot starts with six people who are strangers with clashing personalities, One day wake up in a strange cube-like a maze with deadly traps. They try to escape the cube by going through the tangles with significant risk. Yuichi Goto is a 29-year-old engineer, Asako Kai, a 37-year-old association employee, Shinji Ochi, a 31-year-old Freeter, Chiharu Uno, a 13-year-old middle school student, Hiroshi Ide, a 39-year-old mechanic and Kazumasa Ando, a 61-year-old company executive work together to escape the cube.

The Feel-Good Part

The best part is how they try to work together to escape the crisis despite having different personalities that doesn’t agree on the same thing, and our curiosity about what happens next continues until the end.

The Disappointing Part

This movie is quite good, but those who have watched the original cube movies before the Japanese remake might not get what they expected because the details of why these strange things happen are mentioned in the original film. Still, there is no explanation for why or how they ended up in the maze in this Japanese remake. Despite this one flaw, the movie is excellent and entertaining.

In-Depth Analysis

The plot is about how they try to think up various solutions to get out of the cube maze using their knowledge and work together while trying to stay alive. This film is well made by taking the essential scenes from the original and executing them in a manner that does not disrupt the plot.

Overall Opinion

For those who love and watch a lot of thriller and sci-fi genres this movie is highly recommended; it has an exciting plotline.
