Taoist Master (龙虎山张天师) is a Chinese-based period movie that hit the theaters screens on the 5th of June, 2020. Under the cautious direction of the director, Ricky Lau creates another masterpiece after his previous release, Mr. Vampire (1985). Taoist Master opens up with a reality that believes in the existence of supernatural creatures. These unearthly creatures include vampires, whose obliteration becomes in the frightful village. This is where the protagonist enters with his Kung Fu expertise, finding solutions to battle against the devilish beings. The rest of the story follows the cult grappling with the vampires.

The cast of this action-based drama includes some method actors. The line-up involves Louis Fan, Zhang Dong as Hong Ying, Su Mao, Wang Hui Lai as Fu Sheng, Liu Zhang Yin as Fire Dragon Immortal, Yue Dong Feng as Wu Xian, Li Ping An as Hu Tie Gu, and Liu Wei.

If you wish to relieve yourself with an escapist movie, then Taoist Master seems ideal for such a wish. It becomes for a viewer to derive momentary joy as it is a film.
