The Feel-Good Part

The father-daughter bond is pleasant and heartwarming to watch.

The Disappointing Factor

There is nothing new in this film. It feels like any other movie which involves boxing and some heartfelt storyline.

In-Depth Analysis

This film is not highly focused on action but more on family connection. The movie feels melodramatic than being more heartfelt. It is predictable from beginning to end with the typical training montage and classic themes of persistence and never gives up attitude. Zhou Shi being the ultimate boxing champion, was arrested due to a boxing incident. After his release, he is on the lookout for starting a new life with his 6-year-old daughter, Blithe. Zhou Shi and Blithe have not met before, but they form an instant connection. So he decides to quit boxing and takes up other jobs. When he learns about her health condition, he decides to go back to boxing to fulfill his daughter’s wish.

Star Power

Han Geng (Zhou Shi) did a great job being a boxer and a father. Elena Cai, who plays Zhou Shi’s daughter, did a phenomenal job with her role.

Overall Opinion

It is a decent family drama with boxing. It is not a bad film, just not very remarkable.
