Drama Digest

Valentine’s day is celebrated around the world as a day of love and romance. But is there a darker side to love? Yes, there is.

The series explores that murky side through two parallel stories that tie together at the end. Deceit and cheating reign supreme in both stories.

Muenprae is in a committed relationship with her boyfriend Tan who she is soon set to marry. But she also has a clandestine plan to have an affair with her much-married supervisor Wiwat. Wiwat’s wife Yuwadee has her suspicions but cannot catch them in the act.

On Valentine’s Day, Muenprae (Prae) and Wiwat plan a day of love and be together. Both Tan and Yuwadee find out and want to catch them red-handed.

The parallel story is about a female called Kim. She has three suitors who are crazy about her but not willing to go beyond an affair.

The first is Aek, a cheating boyfriend, the second is Sira, her married supervisor who wants her as a mistress. He also has a condition that she will not cheat on him with anyone. The third is Tan, who wishes to have a fling with her.

With three men vying for her attention yet on Valentine’s Day, she remains alone and lonely.

At some point, the stories of the two females Prae and Kim intertwine.

Will Prae and Wiwat get their day of love or will they get caught? Is Tan two-timing Prae? Who does Kim finally choose? And is there a link between Prae and Kim?

The series answers all these questions and more. It also has some unexpected twists.

The Feel-Good Part

The costumes of all the characters especially the females are marvelous and fancy.

The visuals and make-up are also super. The sound effects also are equally good.

The Disappointing Factor

The storyline is a bit regressive where the female leads are shown as needy and weak. Some of the scenes are a bit aggressive.

In-Depth Analysis

For the majority, Valentine’s Day ushers in love and hope. Those in love, revel in their emotions and joy. But there is another side to love and it is this that the series explores. The series finale culminates on Valentine’s Day.

There are two parallel stories.

The first is on Prae and her relationships with her boyfriend Tan and married boss Wiwat. While she intends to marry Tan, she also pursues her boss who is married to Yuwade. On Valentine’s Day, the two plan to their affair further. But will they get caught by their partners?

The second is on Kim who is desired by not one but three men: Aek, Sira, and Tan. But on Valentine’s Day, she is on her own with no one to love her.

Towards the end, the two stories of Prae and Kim tie in leading to Valentine’s Day. Some surprising twists create a mystery.

Star Power

Kwan as Prae and Lanlalin as Kim is fabulous in their roles. The male leads are ably cast and support the female leads well.

Overall Opinion

If you like drama, then it is a one-time watch although some of the scenes are graphic and the storyline a bit regressive.
