Drama Digest

Piang Rak is a girl with a strong sixth sense. She has had the power all her life. But now she goes to take care of Rattiakm Mansion. In the process, she discovers a mystery surrounding the estate. The drama follows Paing Rak on her journey as she uses her sixth sense to unveil the mystery of the mansion.

The Feel-Good Part

What do you get when you add horror, comedy, and crime together? You get the Last Room No 6. It is a story of a girl who can see ghosts. She helps them if they are willing to get reincarnated. But she encounters a very difficult ghost who is hell-bent on getting revenge. The drama tries to keep its suspense throughout fails in an endearing manner. After watching half the total episodes, it becomes predictable and the suspense factor is lost. But it is not unfortunate as the drama still manages to entertain with its comedy and heart-wrenching storyline. It does not disappoint as the plot progresses amazingly. There are no extra scenes in the show.

The Disappointing Factor

The part of the story which focuses on the demise of the woman who is now a ghost might be a bit heavy for casual viewers. The horror is not enough for the show to be called a scary show, and the comedy is not enough for it to be called a comedy-drama. The romance also seems lacking at several points. There is not enough character growth at all. The protagonist seems to have gained nothing from the experience. Not to mention that the try-hard part of the show, which tries a little too much to make its viewers laugh, seems cringy.

In-depth Analysis

A very simple instance without spoiling the drama to explain the feelings of the reviewer is when the all of the residents of the mansion are aware that they have a ghost residing with them, but the main character is still unaware of it. She can see ghosts and still cannot understand them.  The male lead falls in love with the female lead even when he knows that the spirit of his former lover is haunting a mansion. All these are only a few plot holes in the story. Nonetheless, the humor and horror balance out the show just fine.

Star Power

Fern Nopjira Lerkkajornnamkul, previously seen in ‘Hua Jai Sila,’ plays her character very well. Other characters are played by Petch Boranin and Plengkwan, who also slay their roles.

Overall Opinion

If you are a fan of some mindless comedy and horror and also want a side of crime and thriller, you should not miss out on The Last Room No. 6. It is an amazing amalgamation of these genres made to entertain you. You will skip around the episodes and cringe at some of the jokes but the drama tugs at your heartstrings at times too. The re-watch value is high for this one.
