Drama Digest

The show has six standalone episodes narrating the story of six different gay couples.  Every story focuses on a different kind of love and relationship. Some episodes may leave the viewers feeling incomplete while others may come as more of a surprise. Then there are episodes that will stir the butterflies in your stomach. The show boasts a popular cast and a new song by a different Boxx Music artist every episode.

The Feel-Good Part

If you’re a BL fan, this show is worth checking out because the chances are that at least one of your favourite boy couples will be there. The episodes are in general adorable and make for a good watch if you are looking for something light and entertaining. If you enjoy romance with unusual plots, then that’s even better.

The Disappointing Factor

The time duration for each story was too short. The plot felt rushed and the characters weren’t properly focused on. More than once, the writing felt incomplete and abrupt. Actors couldn’t rise up to their full potential in the scenes and hence the chemistry of certain pairs suffered as a result. The creators should have chosen storylines that were less complicated and could fit into that small time allocation.

In-Depth Analysis

The show deals with different characters in different stages of their relationships- some on the verge of breakup, some mustering up the courage to confess,  then there are ones who haven’t yet met the ones they love or could only love from afar. The show also has some elements of sci-fi and out-of-the-box thinking.

Star Power

Despite the mediocre and inconsistent writing every now and then, the popular boy couples made it worth watching. The cast had undeniable chemistry and good acting skills that could have been put to better use. Every single of the twelve characters carried the show forward through its many rough patches.

Overall Opinion

BL fans who don’t have the time to commit to watching something lengthy and complicated can definitely invest in this miniseries.
