Bad Roommate is a TikTok series. The star Hunter actors make this series a must-watch. The initiative to use the app TikTok to stream the series was innovative and intriguing. Junior acted brilliantly in this role, but the chemistry between him and Kad was a hit and miss. The episodes are 3 minutes long, making them very short when compared to the usual dramas. Due to the duration of the episodes being short, it can be a little tiring to watch them, especially when there are 30 episodes. But we appreciate the innovative effort. The series is short and fun to watch. The plot is intriguing and the characters manage to convey their feelings. Also, the photography is good, and the usual dorm setting is nostalgic. The change in Gawin’s feelings towards Nice was expressed convincingly.
The Disappointing Factor
The aspect ratio adopted was unusual, but still works for the series. It is only a few minutes per episode but it still pulls the viewers in. Some Nazi symbols have been used in the series. It would be best not to watch it if you’re someone who gets triggered by them.

The story is focused and follows a coherent storyline. The story satisfies the hunger of all the BL fans out there. The mystery and humour that arise from the misunderstandings between the roommates are wholesome to watch. The actors often express the cute moments very well. Though the series is well-written, it has its drawbacks. It can’t be compared to the standard high budget BL series. But it serves the viewers with entertainment and wholesomeness. It fulfils its potential and shows every couple properly. The actors’ enthusiasm to take the production seriously is well-reflected. It overpowers the amateur parts of the production. We are shown limited characters, but the proper focus has been given to each of them. With more emphasis on the exceptional performances, we see the actors showcase their emotions brilliantly. As a reviewer who is very picky with her series, I take my time to decide whether to finish the series or not. But this series has only a few minutes per episode. So, it took me a lot less time to decide to watch it towards the end. The plot twists are well-written, and the characters are also well developed. It is surprising to see a BL as a TikTok series. But it is even more dramatic when it is manages to be good. There are no exaggerated scenes. It makes the drama realistic and relatable. The highlight of the show was the realistic portrayal of people. In most dramas, the exes are shown to be toxic, but here, the ex is not toxic and has very less screen time. Also, sometimes the story can feel like a compilation of random scenes, rather than a fixed story. But there is a unique bond that binds the story and keeps it together. The translators have also tried their best to keep the translations clear. But it can be a bit difficult to understand the context, so it gets confusing at times. It is significantly subtle, the love of the couple has also been shown through light scenes. It is very subtle in showing them get closer. The drama as well as the romance is not too intense. It is very simplistic, with hints of romance here and there. So, it is very light to watch and feels good. The scenes that lead to the couple getting closer are well-made and full of chemistry. Junior and Kad have managed to pull off the comedy scenes very well as well. The soundtracks as well as the overall cinematography, is also well done. It’s not hard to find the series, as it is available on youtube with subtitles in a movie format, with all the episodes bunched in together. It is a good series which offers light entertainment.

The main highlights of this series are the acting by Junior, Kad and the fun it provides the watchers. The drama feels realistic without any exaggerated scenes. It also normalizes daily life. In the world of Thai dramas, this drama offers us with a breath of fresh air.
