My Eyes Are Full of You is a Chinese web drama. This series is also known as Nothing But You. The series tells the story of Jiang Li Li, who has to pretend to be her twin sister for the time being as her twin sister met with an accident. Both the twin are poles apart from each other. While Jiang Li Li is often overlooked, her sister, Bi Xiao Ran, is a successful seasoned producer. While pretending to be her sister, Jiang Li Li finds the purpose of her life and, on the journey, finds love.
The Feel-Good Part
My Eyes Are Full of You has all the ingredients for a good rom-com drama. These particular genres of C-drama has a separate fan base among the masses, and honestly, My Eyes Are Full of You, too, didn’t disappoint and stood to the expectations of the fans. The feel-good factor of this drama is the chemistry between the lead actors, which is the most crucial ingredient of a good rom-com drama.
The Disappointing Factor
There are certain loopholes in the plotline which could have been avoided by the writers. Some of the character’s traits were poorly written. For example, Jiang Lili, the female lead character, had no growth till the end, and also Lai Zheng Yi, the male lead, was at times a little too creepy as well as cringe.
In-Depth Analysis
Bi Xiao Ran is a seasoned producer, but she gets heavily injured in an accident on the eve of a vital contract signing. Jiang Li Li, who is the younger twin sister of Bi Xiao Ran, knowing how important the project is for her elder sister, steps up and pretends to be Xiao Ran for the time being. Jiang Li Li’s lie couldn’t convince the CEO of Xiao Ran’s company, and he could easily see the personality difference between the twins and thus saw through Jiang Li Li’s fake identity. To make matters more complicated. Jiang Li Li learned that her elder sister and Zheng Yi, the CEO, were in a fake relationship. So, Jiang Li Li had no other option but to continue the fake relationship. Jiang Li Li finds herself falling for Zheng Yi as they fakes their relationship. Jiang Li Li, while assuming her sister’s identity, somehow becomes the best version of herself while finding purpose in her life.
Star Power
Rain Wang plays the double character of the twin sisters, Jiang Li Li and Bi Xiao Ran. Luo Zheng plays the male lead character of Lai Zheng Yi. The other supporting cast consists of actors such as, Ding Jia Wen, Su Xiao Ding, Wang Yi Tian, Yumiko Cheng, Chen Yi Che, Zhang Xiao Ang, Liu Lei, and many more. There are also guest appearances by many actors such as Hai Tong, Jing Gang Shan, Chen Yu, Zhan Xiao Nan, etc.
Overall Opinion
My Eyes Are Full of You is a cute romantic comedy-drama that leaves you feeling fluffy and warm. The plotline is not extraordinary, but decent and a pretty good to watch. Overall, the 24 episodes of the series are not so hard to watch and you will surely enjoy watching the series.
