Drama Digest

This is a Thai boy’s love series. It is a coming-of-age drama. It features multiple gay couples starting their relationships while studying at a university. 2 moons the series has three parts which are 2 moons, 2 moons 2 and, 2 moons 3 The ambassador. The series mainly focuses on the story of Pha and Wayo, starting from the first season. The second and third seasons are the continuation of the same story. The series also depicts two other couples who are Fourth and Beam and Ming and Kit.

The Feel-Good Part

The story focuses only on gay couples without wasting time on any other storyline. As the show has three seasons, it becomes a coming-of-age drama that many people love to watch as we see the transition and progression of that specific relationship. The acting and chemistry of the actors can be lauded. It encourages the lgbtq+ community as a whole to be confident in themselves, giving out a good message.

The Disappointing Factor

Even though it focuses only on gay couples, some parts of the show may seem immature. There are some loopholes in the direction of the series which could have been improved in their season.

In-Depth Analysis

The story begins with the character Yo (Wayo Panitchayasawad) being admitted to a university. As he begins his education in this new place, he realizes that his long-term crush, Pha (Phana Kongthanin), is already a second-year student there. Pha is already a popular figure at the university and was also selected as the university’s campus moon (ambassador) the previous year. As the elections for becoming the moon of the university arrive, Yo decides to participate too. He decides so because he thinks that this way, he’ll get to see more of Pha. As soon as their activities begin, Pha keeps picking on Yo. This creates some sort of tension between them and makes Yo doubt his decision. Though slowly, things change and fall into place for both of them as they fall in love. Between all these happenings, Wayo receives moral support from his classmates and friends, Beam and Kit. It is later understood that Kit also falls in love with someone and that someone is Wayo’s best friend, Ming. At the same time, Beam gets paired with a guy named Forth, who’s another university mate of theirs. The third season continues the story left off in the second season. As some unwanted and incriminating stuff about Yo is released online by the show’s antagonists Park and Pring, as an act of revenge, Pha has to work harder to stand by his partner and prove his innocence. The third season takes their story forward from there. The other couples settle down too.

Star Power

The side characters of the show were genuinely better than the main leads. The acting of the main leads, Pha and Yo seemed to look wooden and emotionless. Compared to them, the side actors Ming, Kit, Beam, and Forth, did a decent job.

Overall Opinion

The series combines cuteness, comedy, enemies-to-lovers, happiness, etc. But some parts seem disturbing and unnecessary. So, it can be called a medium-rated show.
